iClip1629

iClip is an expanded version of the Macintosh clipboard, allowing you store multiple text items and pictures in an easy-to-organize floating window. If you have a lot of information you need to transfer between applications, or pieces that you regularly use repeatedly, it can save you a lot of time.

Virtix Arsenal iMovie effects8256

Do these filters work? Yes. Each of them works quite well, in fact, and they all look great. Listen to me now; if you want to make fairly cool looking sci-fi mini movies, movies that look at least as decent as the type you'd see on late night UHF channels in the 70s and 80s, you can do that here. Just be prepared for plenty of work and a little frustration.

Dragon Burn 3 CD Burning Software2282

Same with Apples built-in disc burning software. For most people, it does the job. Its reliable, simple, and it works seamlessly with the Aqua GUI. The blank CD is just another volume you can transfer files to, modify them, and when you eject it, you can burn it permanently. For the majority of users, theres really nothing wrong with the built-in burning software. For power users, however

TechTool Pro 41485

It's been a bit of a wait, but finally TechTool 4 has been released. Apparently, the wait was to make sure that it is fully Panther compatible and boots into OS X when starting from the shipped CD. Despite TechTool 4 having one of the greatest innovations in repair software (the eDrive), a nice range of extra functions, and hardware checking features that no other program has to offer, it also has erratic repair and optimization results that limit the program's full effectiveness.

Snapz Pro X 26148

This time around, Snapz Pro X isn't able to rely on simply being one of the first out of the starting gate. Its mastery of OS X is no longer a big deal, as many programs are already doing that. Even harder, it has to overcome the outstanding capabilities of its predecessor. Of course, it does so, mainly by fulfilling the potential uses the original version only hinted at.

DiscBlaze1762

DiscBlaze 3.02's cool US $19.95 price tag makes it an attractive alternative to Toast for those short on dough (such as this reviewer) with the simplest of burning and disk imaging needs. DiscBlaze doesn't offer as many features as Toast, but, for the most part, it is a solid choice to burn data CDs and DVDs, and audio CDs.

Keynote Theme Park, SuperSet 12487

Keynote Theme Park, SuperSet 1 is a collection of all four Theme collections sold by Wow You Design. Each theme includes the standard eight master slides and eight master cutout slides plus other variations for a total of 22 to 25 different master slides. If you do presentations and use Keynote, I recommend adding these themes. [If you do presentations and do not use Keynote, start!]

ReadIris 92008

One of the hardware items that took a while to catch up to OS X were scanners. And, in a domino fashion, it took time for software that is dependent upon scanners to catch up. Now that TWAIN support is compliant and reliable for OS X, it's time once again for Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to rock in OS X--and ReadIris can rock like no other. ReadIris is fast and great.

iView Media Pro 2.0.12429

One of the great things about Digital Cameras is the fact that you can take thousands of images. One of the bad things about digital cameras is that you have thousands of images to store and organize. One of the great things about digital images is that with programs like iView Media Pro 2, it is very simple to organize and store your images and just about all your other media.

WorkStrip v3.02155

One of the biggest shortcoming of computers is in easily retrieving and logically organizing the many documents and applications the average user has. The dock introduced in Mac OS X is a way to correct this problem, but there is a lot of room for improvement. Enter Workstrip, which calls itself a "file management tool" with advanced previews and a feature they call "Workspaces" which lets you effectively have multiple docks. Is this the tool to correct our organizational problems?

Toast 6 Titanium1988

If you do any kind of CD burning at all, there are no solid reasons why you shouldn't have a copy of Toast 6 Titanium now. The program is nearly flawless.
