This is a book that does not intend to teach you how to use InDesign. Rather, it is a book that is intended to fill out the details you might have missed at some point while learning how to use, the very powerful, InDesign.
Reviewing BBEdit has become a bit weird for me, because it's kind of like reviewing my arms; I need it to get anything to done. If I was suddenly forced to use my old LCII with only 40MB of hard disk space and could store only one program on the hard drive, it would be BBEdit v8.
Undoubtedly, I'll get a dozen e-mails from InDesign and even QuarkXPress users about features QuarkXPress v6.5 is missing and features I didn't mention in this review. Fair enough. Having never used InDesign, I can't say what's better. I can say, however, there's absolutely no reason why users of any previous version of QuarkXPress shouldn't seriously consider this upgrade.
