Aspyr Media, Inc. today announced they have shipped CSI: Crime Scene Investigation for the Mac. The game, which is based on the tremendously popular primetime drama, introduces five new, complex crimes. No longer just observers of the action, players must work with the CSI cast to discover the truth and pinpoint the killers. The game is expected to arrive in stores by Friday, December 10th, and was developed for Mac by Critical Path Software.

Players work in the field as a full-fledged crime scene investigator with Grissom, Catherine and the entire CSI team to find clues, and use the latest forensic tools in the new and improved crime lab to uncover the truth. Investigators' skills are tested with in-depth evidence examination and the matching of relevant evidence. Using an arsenal of equipment—such as fingerprint dusters, UV lights, casting kits and more—players must compare evidence to find the culprits behind five grisly crimes.

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation immerses players in the CSI world created by the hit TV show. With music, atmosphere and locations from the show, gamers become a part of the CSI team. Enter the gritty world of solving the vicious murder of a woman, a slain police officer and a mysterious arson case, among others. Players must utilize razor-sharp wit, puzzle-solving prowess and unflinching nerve to stay on the case and track down the killers.

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation requires Mac OS X v10.2.8 or later, a 500MHz G3/G4/G5, 256MB of RAM, 2.3GB free disk space, 3D graphics acceleration (ATI Radeon 7500/nVidia GeForce 2 or better), 32MB of VRAM and 8X CD-ROM.

The game is rated "M" for Mature by the ESRB and is available now at Aspyr's website.
