Tabbed Browsing Features in Firefox... . From Dan . Charles, . One of the things we all seem to like in Safari is the tabs and being able to close a tab from the X on each tab. Something that FireFox was missing, or so I thought. We just switched to Red Hat Linux at work, it also has the Firefox Browser...yee hawww...and also does Tabs. I accidently right clicked on a tab and found you can close it from a short menu that way, rather than going to the right side X. . So now home on my PowerBook with Firefox I find it too will close the tab, or other tabs or even make a bookmark for all the open tabs. . I hadn’t ever seen that mentioned before, but thought it well worth a mention since we all love firefox...or at least more than that horrible IE. . Dan . Hi Dan; . Cool! I just tried it out and it works great. Didn’t know about that before. Thanks for the great tip. . I do love Firefox, and tabs as well in any application. . Charles . yousendit.com . From Kim Peacock . Charles, . I surf a lot looking for interesting stuff Mac-related. I say this because I came across a very useful service which may even have been mentioned in your pages. So, if I am repeating what you have already published, please accept my apologies. . In any case, for people who need to send large files to anyone, they should check out the free service at http://www.yousendit.com It’s effortless and again it’s FREE. In my work, I have heavy files to get to various people and I usually have to courrier a CD to them. But now I can send an 18Meg Powerpoint file, for example, no problemo. It takes 5-7 minutes to upload. Then my correspondent gets an email advising him/her to click on a link to download the file. That takes about 1 minute. Pretty slick and VERY useful. I know there’s always FTP, but it’s a bit more cumbersome to me. . I hope your readers find the service useful too. . Kim . Hi Kim; . I did post a news item about yousendit.com last week, but it’s such a great serviceI don’t mind at all reiterating it. . Thanks for the report. . Charles . Re: HTML in OS X Mail . From John Dennis . Thanks. I still had this on and deselected it but it did not do any thing. I had him send it to me at work where we use GroupWise and this seemed to fix the problem. Groupwise has an icon that you click if you want to select html viewing and it seems to do a much better job then mail but of course that application is not free. . Nice photos from RC aircraft .
