For one thing, you had to figure out what files to keep and which to transfer to the new model. You see, they are almost universally fast, reliable, with excellent output quality. Just as important, the upkeep is generally inexpensive, because Canon provides affordable consumables. In all but the very cheapest models, you get a separate ink tank for each color, so if you run out of, say, yellow, you dont have to buy the other colors that are still in plentiful supply.
