Apple boosted the maximum storage capacity on both the iPhone and the iPod Touch today.....

I just got off the phone with Apple VC Greg Joswiak, and I asked him if it was fair to consider the touch as the flagship device in the iPod family these days, and he agreed with that, calling it a "very strategic product for us."....

With today's announcement of an 16GB iPhone, a number of users are interested in upgrading their 4GB or 8GB models. Here's the skinny on contracts, keeping your SIM card, returns and more....

This week T-mobile announced the numbers of sold iPhones since launch in Germany - 70,000 units. According to the company's press release it was by far the strongest requested Multimedia phone available.

While this number sounds amazingly high for this short time period, taking into account that during Christmas season about 2.3 million units were sold sobers the enthusiast a little. The corresponding numbers for the same period of time were 190,000 iPhones (UK) and 70,000 (France).

Can we say that the iPhone didn't meet its expectations?....

It's 10 million phones in 2008, not through 2008, okay?

Numbers on iPhone sales have been a hotly debated topic since Steve Jobs made his prediction at the Macworld Expo Keynote in 2007. Not surprisingly, there has been no shortage of inquiring minds - some with really poor math skills - arguing iPhone sales are "dropping off real fast." Today, AppleInsider put up some counterbalance from market research firm Canalys.
