Zevrix Solutions Releases ArtOptimizer 2 for Adobe Illustrator
ArtOptimizer allows users to save valuable storage space, increase document output speed and reduce production costs by eliminating excessive image data. It's achieved by automatically reducing the size of linked images with an effective resolution higher than the user-defined target resolution. ArtOptimizer opens the images in Photoshop, automatically reduces their resolution, and scales them according to their dimensions in the Illustrator document. ArtOptimizer then reimports the images into the document at 100% in precise position.
ArtOptimizer saves hours of production time for publishing houses, design firms, printers, and service bureaus of any size. ArtOptimizer also helps users save the time of transferring jobs to outside sources, reduce job cost through faster processing by service providers, and speed up the overall job turnaround.
Version 2.0 introduces several new capabilities: * ArtOptimizer is now compatible with Mac OS X Leopard. * Users can specify Photoshop Actions to run on each image during processing. * Users now have the option to merge visible layers in Photoshop instead of flattening the image.
Zevrix Solutions introduced ArtOptimizer following the success of LinkOptimizer, its flagship product which provides similar solutions for Adobe InDesign. Both products also allow to automate image color conversion, run Photoshop sharpening filters, and back up original images before processing.
ArtOptimizer 2.0 can be purchased for US$99.95, from the Zevrix Solutions website (http://www.zevrix.com), and authorized resellers. Licensed users of previous versions can update to ArtOptimizer 2.0 for $19.95.
ArtOptimizer is available for Mac OS X 10.4.2 and higher, Universal Binary, and works with Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop CS, CS2 and CS3.
