In fact, Ms. Teskey, who now also goes by the name of Laureen Harper, met the her future husband when she was a member of and graphic designer for the Canadian Reform Party, of which Harper was a Member of Parliament for in the 1990s.

(For readers unfamiliar with the byzantine convolutions of Canadian politics recently, the Reform Party morphed into the Canadian Alliance Party, of which Stephen Harper became leader in 2002, and which merged with the former Progressive Conservative Party in 2003 to form the new Conservative Party of Canada which won a minority government mandate in Canada's federal election on January 23. Harper was elected Conservative party leader in 2004.)
Blonde and attractive Ms. Teskey Harper shuns the limelight, and I was unable to find an official photo of her on the Conservative Party Website, but you can see one in this news story:

Anyway, Laureen Teskey Harper runs a graphic design business from the Harper/Teskey home, and is expected to continue to do so when Canada's First Family moves into Canada's official Prime Ministerial residence at 24 Sussex Drive in Ottawa next month according to political correspondent and commentator extraordinaire Mike Duffy of CTV News. Mike, who has visited the Harper/Teskeys, noted in a January 27 broadcast commentary that Ms. Teskey runs her business using Apple Macintosh computers, and is a BIG Mac fan.
Cool.....
