Logos Bible Software for the Macintosh Coming - Widget Now
Macintosh users have asked for it (over and over again) and now it is headed your way: Logos Bible Software for the Macintosh.
That's right...a version of Logos Bible Software that is native to Mac OS X. Immediate access to thousands of Bible reference titles never before available for the Macintosh. The advanced automation and convenient reports that Logos users have come to love. No more emulators, no more guilt over your flirtation with the PC.
The Macintosh version will read the same book files as the PC version, making 14 years of digital book publishing instantly available to Mac users. Categories include Bibles, original language texts, morphological databases, commentaries, dictionaries, lexicons, grammars, maps and more. Electronic books can be acquired in money-saving library collections or unlocked individually.
The truth is, we have always been a little jealous of Mac users. The Mac design aesthetic, cool bundled apps, the stability and security of the platform all made us a touch green. That's why we are just as excited as you are about developing Logos for the Mac. We can't wait to show it off.
"When can I buy it?" you ask. Work on the product has already begun, and the official launch is planned for the second quarter 2007. But we will be pulling back the curtain now and then for a peek in the meantime and we'll start taking orders as launch day approaches. The best way to keep up to date on all this is to subscribe to the Logos for the Mac Email List. We'll also be discussing the product in our Macintosh newsgroup. (To access the newsgroup you will need a newsreader like Mozilla Thunderbird.)

In the meantime...
As a completely separate side project Logos had some developers whip out a widget to help you quickly look up the text of any Bible reference you come across. Simply type or cut and paste any Bible reference into the Logos Bible Widget and instantly see the full text of that verse.
Mac users can download the new and improved Bible Widget from http://www.LogosBibleWidget.com or Apple.com.
The biggest update is that the new widget adds the ESV Bible so you can instantly navigate to a verse in either the English Standard Version or King James Version Bible.
Logos Bible Widget version 2 is also much more streamlined, in response to requests from users who found the original widget to be a desktop space hog. It's also very good-looking, if I may say so (kudos to Sean Fields, Logos design director)...
Using the widget is simple: Type a Bible reference to jump to that verse. Click the forward or back arrow to jump to the next/previous verse; click the double arrows to jump to verse 1 of the next/previous chapter. You can copy/paste text from the verse window into another application.
To switch Bible versions, just flip the widget over.
Easier than grabbing your Bible off the shelf, faster than going to Bible Gateway, and best of all - the Logos Bible Widget is free

ML Baseball Widget 1.1.1
All the information you need about the MLB in one single and small widget. Show the current scoreboard, full results from previous days, the schedule for the upcoming week, or current division and wildcard standings. For ongoing or past games, show the score overview and current game situation while having a convenient link to the full box score only a click away.
Widget Usage
Per default, the widget will display today's scoreboard, giving you a quick overview of all games of the day. Games show the current (or final) score or game start time (for your local time zone). Winning teams' names are highlighted on the scoreboard to more easily them.
- Select your favorite team on the widget's back to have games and current place in standings highlighted. The widget will also show your favorite team's logo in the background of the widget's front.
- Click on 'Standings' on the top right to select a division or wild card race to display - switch back to the scoreboard by clicking on 'Scoreboard' on the top left.
- When displaying the score board, use the arrows next to the date at the top to go back or forward in history - clicking either the date or the 'Scoreboard' text will reload the current score board.
- Pointing the mouse over any ongoing or finished game in the score board will display a little popup with the current (or final) game standings (you can select to not show those popups on the back of the widget). Note that the popup might not appear immediately as the widget has to download the latest information first. The popup will disappear after five seconds or when you mouse the mouse over it. Double-click on any game (ongoing or finished) to go to the full box score page on the MLB website (note that game information will not be available for a little while just after the game has finished).
- Teams already eliminated from the title or wild card race are shown in red in the standings
- The current day's scoreboard will automatically refresh once a minute, standings once every 30 minutes, or when the Dashboard is first displayed.
New in version 1.1.1:
New features:
Add current base situation for ongoing games to the scoreboard.
Add full box score and current number of balls and strikes to the game detail display.
Add popup with additional team stats to the standings table.
Improvements/bug fixes:
Switched to a different data source for the scoreboard and game details - this should give more up-to-date data and the re-written data parser should be much more robust.
Improve display and automatic hiding of the popup display.
Make sure we always scroll to the top when loading new data to prevent displaying a blank widget after looking at the bottom of a wildcard race.

SigAlert Traffic Maps Widget 1.5.1
The SigAlert Traffic Maps widget allows you to get the latest traffic maps for your local freeway traffic.
Using the maps and information from SigAlert.com, the following cities/regions are currently supported:
Inland Empire (San Bernardino)
Los Angeles (greater LA, West LA, and East LA)
Orange County
Phoenix
Sacramento
San Diego
San Francisco/Bay Area
Ventura
Widget Usage
After selecting the region to be displayed on the back of the widget, the front will display up-to-date information for the selected region (the speeds and incident reports will be updated every three minutes when the Dashboard is showing).
- The widget can be resized (from the bottom right of the widget's front) and allows panning of the map so that you can focus on the data you are interested in (settings will be stored for each instance of the widget - you can have multiple widgets showing different maps open at the same time).
To pan the map, hold the mouse over any of the widgets borders - after a little delay, the map will move in that direction. Once the widget has focus, you can also use the arrow keys to pan the map - hold down the option key for faster panning.
- Pointing the mouse over any speed dot or incident icon will display a popup with additional details - pointing the map over a camera icon will display a live traffic camera picture from that location. The popup will automatically close after a certain amount of time (5s for speed info, 20s for incident details, and 30s for camera pictures), when moving the mouse outside te widget's borders, or manually when clicking either the popup itself or the map entry for the current popup.
- Double-clicking the map will open the corresponding full map in your browser
Additional features for 'My Sigalert' subscribers
Click the 'Sign in' text on the back of the widget to log in to your account - the widget will remember your login (for security reasons the widget will not store your user name or password but only the login cookie).
As a subscriber to the 'My Sigalert' service on sigalert.com, you will see an additional checkbox on the back of the widget, allowing you to select display of your customized routes in the top right corner of the widget. The display will show the name of the route, the number of accidents of given severity along the route (one minor incident in the screenshot on the right) and the total time required to travel the route (the background of the time display will be colored based on the average speed along the route).
- Per default, your active route (as defined by the alerts you set up on sigalert.com) will be displayed but you may choose to always display a certain route or don't show the route information at all.
- Pointing the mouse over the route information will display a popup with detailed speed and incident information along the route.
- Pointing the mouse over any incident count (if present) will show a popup with all incidents along the route.
- Clicking the route information brings up the route list and allows selecting a different route to show - if you selected to show the 'active route,' the manually selected route will be displayed until you hide the Dashboard.
New in version 1.5.1 (May 21, 2007):
Improvements/bug fixes:
Fix display of routes other than the currently active one ('My Sigalert' subscribers) - we failed to send the required cookie when fetching the speeds for the custom route.
Fix incident reports using a slightly different format (observed for Phoenix) - make sure we don't cut off the first line of information unless it is map coordinate information.
Add a few more text expansions for incident detail reports.
Make keyboard shortcuts more reliable with when using WebKit nightly and improve keyboard navigation in the login dialog.
Slightly simplify the HTML layout for the detail popup by removing workarounds no longer necessary when using the latest WebKit nightly.
New in version 1.5 (May 12, 2007):
New features:
No longer rely on Safari to store the login cookie for 'My Sigalert' subscribers. The widget now features a login dialog on its back and retrieves and stores the user cookie to enable the additional features (note that the widget does not store the actual user name and password but only the login cookie). This allows the widget to work correctly independent of the choice of favorite browser, should make login a little more reliable, and speed up the initial loading of the widget.
Improvements/bug fixes:
Keep the header fixed on long incident details popups and scroll only the detailed list - this allows to always keep the location of the accident visible.
Make the incident details in the popup a little easier to read by expanding some common abbreviations and removing extra information.
Several minor CSS tweaks for more consistent layout.
