Make a New Note
Create a new note by pressing Command-N, selecting "New Note" from the "Notes" menu, or by clicking the plus icon in the NoteOrganizer.
You have complete control over how your notes look. Change fonts, style, or color to make your notes stand out.
Drag and Drop
Drag text from just about anywhere into a new note. (How easy is that?) Note text dragged to the desktop is automatically exported in Rich Text Format (RTF), which can be read by most text editors and word processors such as TextEdit, Microsoft Word, or Pages.
Of course you can also import text or enter it the old fashioned way - by typing.
Store Bookmarks, Too
Drag or copy a URL into TopXNotes and it will automatically turn it into a clickable link.This makes TopXNotes the perfect place to store and organize your bookmarks.

Browse your notes the way you find something in a book.
TopXNotes NoteOrganizer is an advanced table of contents (TOC) that can be shown either as a separate view, or as part of MultiView. NoteOrganizer shows the groups and categories you have created and makes it easy to find any note quickly.
Groups
Know how to use folders in the Mac's Finder? Then you know how to use Groups in TopXNotes.
Groups allow you to organize information the way that makes the most sense to you. Simply drag notes into a group to organize them. You can also have groups within groups - as many levels as you need.
(And unlike the Finder, any note can belong to as many groups as you want!)
Categories
Categories add another dimension to the way your information can be organized. By assigning a category to a note, you make it even more accessible. Each category can also be given its own color and icon, making them easier to find.
For example, you might have a group called "Recipes" and another group called "Restaurants." You could assign a category called "Favorite Meals" to multiple notes that might be in either category. Next time you want to see your favorite meals, just look them up by category and see notes from both groups!
An Index, too
There are times when you know exactly what you are looking for, but just can't seem to find it. That's where TopXNote's powerful Index feature comes in handy.
NoteOrganizer allows you to see all your notes at once, sorted alphabetically - just like an index in a book. You can sort your notes by date, category, or group, too!

TopXNotes exclusive MultiView feature allows you to explore your notes in ways not possible in any other program.
MultiView
Some of the real power in TopXNotes comes from the way you can view different notes in the same window. We call this MultiView, and no one else has it.
MultiView allows you see a single note, a note and the NoteOrganizer, or multiple views at once (with or without the NoteOrganizer).
Viewing multiple notes in one window is great for comparing lists, recipes, and code snippets.
Single Note
Sometimes you just need to focus on one thing at a time. TopNotes Singe Note view lets you do just that.
This is great for zeroing in on information such as banking information or a serial number.
QuickNotes - Instant access to your most frequently used notes
There is probably a bunch of information you wish you had at your fingertips no matter what else you might be doing. TopXNotes exclusive QuickNotes feature does just that.
The small QuickNotes window floats on top of other all other windows, so it is available no matter what application you are using.
QuickNotes Menu
Clicking the QuickNotes window drops down a menu with titles of the notes you have selected as most important to your life. Selecting one of those notes from he menu takes you right to that note in TopXNotes.
QuickNote Dock Menu
Your QuickNotes are also available right in the Mac OS X Dock, making it even easier to access them when your mouse is far away from the QuickNotes window.
Choose your QuickNote from either the QuickNote window or the Dock and it opens immediately to that note in
TopXNotes 1.5 is available for $39.95 (USD) from the Tropical Software web site and many finer Macintosh resellers. Existing users can upgrade to version 1.5 for $14.95 from the company's web site.
