UnifyCamino includes a Preference Pane for Camino (select 'Preferences' from the Camino menu). It allows you to disable toolbar unification, to change the toolbar shade on the fly, and to remove the dividing line between the main toolbar and the bookmarks bar.
The Preference Pane also allows you to install a custom theme for Camino. You can use the 'streamlined' tabs and status bar that are included with UnifyCamino by just checking the appropriate box. Alternatively, if you have downloaded other custom themes, check the 'Custom theme' box, and select the directory containing the custom theme. If you have CaminIcon installed, UnifyCamino will present the CaminIcon directory so you can select a theme from there.
Similar theming abilities are offered by CaminIcon. CaminIcon provides a much better interface, but UnifyCamino has two advantages. First, you can customize the status bar. Second, your theme will be remembered when you install new versions of Camino. Once you've chosen or customized a theme using CaminIcon, you can install it semi-permanently with UnifyCamin
