TinkerTool System 1.5 - Shareware Beat

618 TinkerTool System is a professional all-in-one maintenance tool for the Macintosh platform. It allows you to change advanced operating system settings and offers a wide variety of maintenance features. The latest version comes with powerful new functions for Mac OS X Tiger, e.g. it gives you access to Access Control Lists (ACLs), can change the overall scaling factor for the screen, and allows you to administrate the Spotlight search databases.

TinkerTool System is very different from other maintenance applications because it never uses any scripts and is fully integrated into the security architecture of Mac OS X. For example, it never asks for your password itself but lets Mac OS X do this when necessary, always verifying whether an operation you have selected is allowed to be performed with your current user credentials or not.

Together with its sister program "TinkerTool" which is available at no charge, TinkerTool System is a perfect substitute for the following types of maintenance applications:

• Cache and font cache cleaners,
• Tools to access hidden preference settings,
• Internet browser privacy protection tools,
• Network tuning applications,
• Programs to control the Macintosh startup chime,
• Tools to remove international language support files,
• Log file browsers,
• and many others
