4781 As it did last year, Apple is planning a special one-day Apple shopping event for Black Friday - November 27.

A cryptic message postd on Apple's Website on Monday says:

"Come back to the Apple Online Store the day after Thanksgiving for a special one-day-only holiday shopping event. You’ll find dozens of great iPod, iPhone, and Mac gift ideas — all with free shipping.

"Mark your calendar now. And until then, start your research by browsing the Apple Online Store to find iPod, iPhone, and Mac gifts for everyone on your list."

[UPDATE] This morning an email promo from Apple added:

"Shopping event is available at the Apple Online Store and 1-800-MY-APPLE only on November 27 from 12:01 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. PST. Select offers also available at U.S. Apple Retail Stores; not all sale products available in all stores. Sale prices are limited to stock on hand and while supplies last."
