Techshell says that through testing and customer experience, heat buildup has not been a problem. The vents are not blocked by Techshells, letting the fans blow unobstructed. Most Macbooks actually radiate heat through the keyboard and the vents between the base of the laptop and the screen, upward. CPU-intensive tasks will likely still cause your Macbook to heat up, whether the Techshell is there, or not.

Techshells are available for 12" PowerBook, 13" MacBook, 15" MacBook Pro Intel Core 2 Duo, 17" MacBook Pro and 17" MacBook Pro Intel Core 2 Duo.
