South River Technologies Releases WebDrive for Mac

2010 South River Technologies, a specialist in secure file transfer and file collaboration software, today announced that it has released its popular WebDrive universal file access client for the Macintosh platform. WebDrive for Mac enables Mac users to connect to remote servers as if they were mounted devices. WebDrive for Mac makes accessing remote files as easy as accessing files on a flash drive or on the local Mac computer.

The Windows version of WebDrive is installed on over 5 million PCs in 114 countries, and is available in six languages. South River Technologies has introduced the Macintosh version of WebDrive to address customer demand from companies that use both Windows and Macintosh computers.

“We’ve seen a rapid increase in the number of corporate customers looking for intuitive access to remote files from both the Windows and Macintosh platforms,” says Michael Ryan, CEO and co-founder of South River Technologies. “The release of the Mac version of WebDrive accommodates both the heterogeneous environment in many companies, and also addresses the needs of employees who want to work from home on their personal Mac computers.”

WebDrive for Mac is available for immediate purchase, and is licensed per individual machine or in cost-effective multi-seat license packs.
