A free evaluation copy of Bookends 10.1 can be downloaded from the Sonny Software web site (http://www.sonnysoftware.com). All features are enabled in the evaluation copy except that databases are limited to a maximum of 50 references. Once purchased, Sonny Software will supply a registration number that will "unlock" the evaluation version and remove this restriction.

Bookends 10.1 retails for $99 ($69 for students), but is free to anyone who bought Bookends on or after July 1, 2007. Upgrades from previous versions are $29. There are discounts for those who are switching from EndNote or other reference management products, and for registered users of Mellel. Group discounts and site licenses are also available.
