Smule’s $10K “This Contest Blows” Winners Blow On

952 Smule ( http://www.smule.com ) has announced the winners of the company's "This Contest Blows" Ocarina video contest. Conceived as a way to reward its raving Ocarina fans with $1,000 per winner, the contest attracted a number of surprising and creative videos. Many contestants demonstrated musical talent, as well as Smulean je ne sais quoi.

The ten winners are:

Hardrockgrl's "Oh Shenandoah"

David Choi's cover of "Hot N Cold"

"Carol of the Bells"

"Song of Storms"

And finally, "Music of the Nose"

Some entries were so peculiar that the panel of Smule judges felt compelled to add a special category of videos, the 'Oca-razzies.' Some of the strangest submissions include:

A cat playing Ocarina

Someone 'playing' his iPhonehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W_SBi-Ac9-4 with his posterior…!!! Singing, (remember William Hung?), over another entrant's Ocarina playing

…and many more, too bizarre to describe. These are available for viewing on Smule's website

Additionally, since the intent is to nurture budding Ocarina talent, Smule will extend the contest to Friday, February 13, and announce 5 more $1,000 prize winners on Smule's Mule live broadcast February 16th.
