The new SilverFast 6.5 now makes imaging even easier. The extensive selection of editing tools has been enhanced with several new features, allowing users to produce optimum quality images with ease.
The new Auto Frame Detection automatically creates frames for all images in the prescan. Multi-Exposure (Please check whether your scanner is supported!) increases the hardware's capability to capture the full dynamic range, bringing out extensive image detail in both highlights and shadows. This is high dynamic range at its best!
An improvement of NegaFix automatically reduces colorcasts when scanning negatives. New NegaFix Profiles allow for more detailed corrections. The reliable Selective Color Correction SCC now enables users to create, save, and export presets for use in other SilverFast versions.
The new SilverFast Ai-HDR Gamma Optimization further synchronizes 48bit scanning between SilverFast Ai / Ai Studio and image editing with SilverFast HDR / HDR Studio. The HDR / HDR Studio independently adopts the gamma settings of your previous scan.
The SilverFast Basic provides a simplified user interface, giving beginners an easier start in the software. In basic mode, users become familiar with the essential features of the software while being presented with only minimum editing tools. Once a comfort level is attained, users can then switch to standard mode, where the full functionality and powerful features are then available to experience all that SilverFast has to offer.

o SE: Corrected the behaviour of the new CMS-Panel for SE with respect to the internal color space popup.
o General: The picture settings dialog now allows directly typing in negative parameter values.
o SilverFast Basic: Corrected behaviour for "Picture Settings" and Negafix dialogues for use with "SilverFast Basic" mode.
* REMOVED:
o Multi-Exposure: 4x Multi-Exposure no longer existent. Could have alignment issues in certain cases without improving the image above what 2x Multi-Eposure already does.

SilverFast Ai combines a very intuitive user interface with sophisticated and professional scanner and image controls. Beginners and professionals will appreciate the unique real-time controls and the intelligent automatic functions as well as the ability to manually adjust the image at any point.
Predictable color from the SilverFast Ai preview gives imaging and color reproduction a new dimension securing the correct workflow with the ScanPilot. The professional user can adjust any operation via numerical input and can precisely monitor the results using the integrated densitometer. SilverFast Ai enables any level of user to achieve brilliant results quickly.
SilverFast comes in three different flavors: as Stand-Alone Software with the SilverFast Launcher; as native Adobe Photoshop Plug-in or as universal TWAIN Module.
SilverFast 6 also has the Job Manager, a productivity function, so far only available as an option.
SilverFast Ai and SilverFast HDR are working in full 16 (48) bit mode and besides delivering uncorrected output into 48 bit HDR-format, also allows full 48 bit color-corrected output. Thus enabling the optimum throughput while securing maximum dynamic range!

SilverFast Ai Studio includes all of the well-known functions of Silverfast AI plus a many new, innovative tools.
These new functions of SilverFast Ai Studio offer an even higher degree of efficiency for image optimization. Multi- sampling now includes auto-alignment, enabling this feature even on scanners without hardware-based support. AACO allows the user to extract maximum detail from shadow areas, without compromising the highlights. This has become an an invaluable tool, especially when working with scanners offering limited dynamic range. These two tools combined can inncrease the usable dynamic range of almost any scanner in the market today.
