• To install it, simply drag it to your Home > Library > Services folder (first creating that folder if necessary). It will then be available in most applications.
• To use it, choose “Shorten URL with Hurl” from the Services menu in the Application menu (the menu just to the right of the Apple menu, carrying the name of the current application).
Shorten URL with Hurl was made by Tom Kellen who found a Mac service called "Shorten URL with Metamark" written by Paul Mucur. Since URL shortener services seem to come and go Tom thought he would create one for another service, so he edited Paul's original script and change it to use the Hurl.ws service. Then using Waffle Software's ThisService, packaged it up and here it is.
