ohphoneX 0.1c H.323 Client For Telephony & Video Conferencing
[OS X 10.2.4 up]
ohphoneX is targeted as a simple Mac-to-Mac video conferencing and Mac-to-Phone voice only communication tool, some features will not be provided, but will be included in another application. It provides Mac-to-Mac, Mac-to-PC (NetMeeting and GnomeMeeting compatible) video conferencing, as well as Mac-to-Phone through Internet telephony providers that allow you access their H.323 call gateway.
The goal of the project is to develop a set of Internet video conferencing and telephony applications in native Mac OS X GUI (as in Cocoa or Carbon, not X11). In particular, we want to develop a set of Internet utilities so that not only you can do Mac-to-Mac video conferencing and Mac-to-Phone telephony, but also use other features such as answering machine, multi-party conferencing and so on.
Currently, H.323 is the only supported protocol, support of SIP may be added in a later date.
In short, H.323 is a protocol that enables one party to signal another party, negotiate and establish media streams, and management the streams throughout their lifetime. The other party can be another H.323 application/client, or a gateway that bridges your call into other type of network, such as the telephone network. That is, you can use an H.323 application to call a friend's application (Mac-to-Mac, Mac-to-PC), or you can use an H.323 application to call a telephony service provider's gatekeeper and bridge to PSTN network. (Mac-to-Phone)
Most users of this project use its software for Mac-to-Mac, for example, you can talk to a friend over the Internet. Some of them use it for Mac-to-Phone, but almost all of them use it through their company's H.323 gatekeeper.

MacAstronomica 2.0.3 Astronomy Software
[Mac OS 8.6 /OS 10.2 up]
MacAstronomica generates sky maps at any time, from anywhere on Earth. The maps show all the planets and stars visible to the naked eye, as well as some galaxies and nebulas, the Ecliptic, meteor showers and the Milky Way. Constellations are drawn in their traditional form, and a table lists the visible objects. Win/MacAstronomica also features an Orrery that simulates the solar system, a sundial/moon dial, and a lot more. The interface is very elegant and easy to use. And finally, MacAstronomica lets you print customized sky maps.
Identifying celestial objects is simple in MacAstronomica. Simply move the mouse over any object and the object's name and basic information will appear in a tooltip. Finding objects is also very simple in Win/MacAstronomica. Using the Find command, you can specify search criteria such as the object's name and type. MacAstronomica will locate the objects that match your criteria and highlight them. The sky map may be printed and used outside, as a guide to the stars and planets. Easy Card Software For Mac OS X For Printing Your Own Greeting Cards and Envelopes
Thanksgiving/Christmas/Hanukkah/Kawanzaa is coming, give your mom a big smile by making a greeting card especially for her. Include your digital pictures of family, pets and friends. Never again buy her one of those overpriced, mass produced, commercial greeting cards again.
Birthdays - Anniversaries - Holidays - Get Well - Good Luck - Graduation Weddings - Engagements - New Born Babies - Sympathy - Thank You
So many occasions and so many friends and family. How many greeting cards do you buy in a year? Easy Card was created specially to help us all to easily and inexpensively create greeting cards. Easy Card solves the age old dilemma of mankind by making it easy to give a birthday card at the last minute to a close friend and:
- without having to drive 20 miles in the rain to get it.
- give one which actually expresses your real feelings and sentiments and not those of some writer at Hallmark.
- that contains your own digital photography, art and unique fonts.
- which makes envelopes just the right size (patented technology) and prints them (with address) out. No more searching for an envelope that fits.
- send via email allows you to send the card thousands of miles at the last moment or hopefully sooner and get it there before its too late.
- without having to pay $$ for a card that does not really capture your feelings.
Create and send professional quality greeting cards for all occasions, right from your home computer. Send your greeting cards via regular surface mail or via e-mail. Use the built in envelope system to create envelopes for your cards, when sending via surface mail.
There are 3 ways to use Easy Card.
1. Download a beautiful ready made card from within Easy Card.
2. Use a template of your own.
3. Create a greeting from scratch.
If you choose to create a greeting card from scratch you can use your own graphics, photographs, scans or download pictures from within Easy Card, using the "Get Picture" option. When you have a picture you can then apply a series of effects to that picture, including but not limited to rotation, inverse and grayscale. Writing the message is just as easy. Choose from a selection of pre-written messages or compose your own. Spice up your messages by using the standard bold, italic, underline and easy card's shadow, outline or caption. Change the color and choose the font using a font selector that shows what the font looks like before using it.
One of Easy Card's patented abilities is creating perfectly fitting envelopes for your greeting cards. You can customize the envelope in the same way you customize the sections of the card, you can also place your address on the envelope as the return address. Mac OS X users can choose the recipients address from the Apple Address Book.

DoubleCommand 1.4.4b6 Remaps Function Keys
[OS X 10.1 up]
DoubleCommand is a Mac OS X kernel extension that lets you remap certain keys to certain other keys. It started out as a quick way to turn the Enter key into a Command key, but is now far more powerful than ever before. Why would you want to do this? Well, on my PowerBook G3 there is an Enter key to the right of the space bar - where I would really rather have a Command (Apple) key. So now I can! Many people have emailed and requested different key changes, so now DoubleCommand allows you to choose from several key mappings. For the full feature listing look at the install page.
DoubleCommand started out as a hack of iJect, which was generously GPL'd by Christian Starkjohann. So go check out the great software he makes over at Objective Development http://www.obdev.at
As a result, DoubleCommand is released under v2 of the GPL. Please read the file Licence.txt for more information.
New in this version:
This new beta fixes the bug with forward delete in Office, fixes a bug with home and end keys, and adds support for function key swapping on more PowerBook keyboards.
System requirements:
Mac OS X 10.1 or higher
