Inventive Releases iClip 3.5 Productivity Software for Apple Mac OS X [OS 10.2 up]
Inventive, Inc. ( http://inventive.us ) announces the release of iClip version 3.5, their award winning productivity software for Mac OS X. iClip enables users to quickly store, organize, and access snippets of information without having to save them as entire documents.
Now available in iClip is a new menu system that moves the main iClip functions from the global menu to a set of menus directly within the iClip window, making it much more intuitive to use. The contents of the Clipboard Recorder are now automatically preserved through iClip relaunches and restarts, eliminating the need for users to explicitly store it before quitting. Also new in version 3.5 are significant improvements to iClip documentation, in that it now uses Apple's Help Viewer application, making it easy to print and search.
"We took a hard look at where iClip usability could've been improved and I feel that the enhancements in version 3.5 accomplish much in that regard. I'm happy to say that the whole application is now much more Mac-like and smoother to use as a result," said John Casasanta, President of Inventive.
iClip is a multiple clipboard/scrapbook application designed to improve user efficiency and productivity for various computing tasks. iClip enables users to store and retrieve various clippings, such as text, pictures, URLs, file aliases, movies, etc. in it's multiple bins. Clippings can be arranged into groups to keep users organized. iClip helps eliminate redundant typing, especially in tasks like filling out online forms. It's widely used to assist general purpose tasks such as word processing, web browsing, and research, while webmasters, graphic designers, and programmers also find iClip to be useful in their more specialized tasks.
iClip 3.5 is available now for Mac OS X 10.2 or later as a "try-before-you-buy" download at http://inventive.us/iClip/ or on CD at select retailers. It can be purchased for $19.95 USD for the trial version or $29.95 USD for the CD version. The version 3.5 upgrade is free to registered users of any previous version.

iTerminal 1.0.1 GUI For The Terminal [OS X 10.3 up]
A GUI for the terminal. Why a GUI for the terminal? Isn't the point of the terminal is to get away from the GUI?
With iTerminal you can navigate to any folder on your hard disk with a few clicks. No more having to use the change directory (cd) command to navigate into deep directories! Switch easily between multiple directories using the finder-like list view. Double click a folder to either list the files inside, or open that folder in a Finder window.
Open the history drawer to see a list of recently used commands so you no longer have to blindly cycle through commands in your history. If you see which one you want, double click it and it executes in the current directory. If you need to edit the command, single clicking it will put it on the command line for you to change.
For the advanced user, the script creator allows you to create scripts to run several tasks concurrently. If you're like most power users, you probably do a lot of make, archive, and open/run program commands. Throw those or any commands into a simple, easy to use script maker and instantly run those commands with a double click.
With the clean and easy to use interface, your terminal tasks will be faster and less dreadful. We've tried to combine ease of use and advanced features while keeping it simple for beginners and users who have never used the terminal. iTerminal is also a great way to learn how to use the terminal and the power of Unix. Most of the automated tasks are printed to the screen so you can see exactly which command is being run to accomplish that task.
iTerminal functions as a graphical layer over terminal.app to ease the user's tasks. Normally, anything you'd want to do with the terminal requires typing every command and only text as visual feedback. iTerminal helps to give you a better idea of what you're doing and what you want to do by adding a graphical interface to the terminal. It accomplishes this by displaying a folder hierarchy of the folders on your hard drive from which you can navigate to and execute your commands in. It also shows a list of recently used commands so that you can see exactly which command you wish to bring back up to either edit or execute.
New in this version:
Command line field now takes focus more often to improve speed of usage
Fixes some output bugs
Updated and improved the help file
System requirements:
Mac OS X 10.3 or later
iTerminal is $5.00 shareware
