iTunes Library Manager v4.0

! This AppleScript applet makes backup copies of the current iTunes Library and Preferences, allowing you to easily save multiple iTunes Library and Preferences configurations that can be retrieved and loaded at any time. For OS X only.

With iTunes Library Manager v4.0 you can maintain two or more libraries each with its own associated Preferences settings. For example, you can have one "Main Library" which contains all your songs and playlists, and another which just contains your "Holiday Music" songs and playlists. Additionally, because each library is saved and loaded with its associated preferences, you can create many different configurations for different uses. For instance, you can assign each library its own designated Music folder, and keep a library of audio files on your computer and another distinct library of audio files on another volume, network drive or external drive; different libraries can have different Sharing, Burning or Importing settings, too. The flexibility is awesome. The download package contains examples of how you can set up these different configurations.

Updated Features In This Version:
Now saves iTunes Preferences with each backed up library, allowing each library to have its own settings, including Music folder location, Import settings, Effects, etcetera. All users of previous versions of iTLM are encouraged to update.

System requirements:
Mac OX X 10.2 or better and iTunes 4.0 or better required

Up until now, upgrading to a new version of iTunes Library Manager has always been free for registered users. However, this upgrade is not free. To create additional libraries with iTunes Library Manager v4.0 you must re-register by paying the $5 shareware fee. If you want to wait to upgrade, you'll still be OK. iTunes Library Manager v3.x.x is compatible through iTunes version 4.6. Please note: Versions prior to 4.0 cannot be upgraded.

JunkMatcher 1.18 Spam Filter For Mail.app [OS X 10.3 up]

JunkMatcher filters spam using flexible regular expressions, IP query against multiple blacklists (such as SpamCop.net) and varoius other techniques such as email property matching, HTML final rendering matching etc. You can match against almost every bit of a message (including attachment filenames and charsets), and the raw material for matching is cleaned out for you to defeat some of the tricks spammers use to obfuscate their messages. <IMG>JunkMatcher icon Icon courtesy of Steve Caplin

JunkMatcher works with Mail.app via a rule so it can be used hand-in-hand with Mail.app's built-in (statistical) junk filter. Users can decide what actions to take on the matched messages (mark as junk/read/flagged/colored, move them to Junk/Trash mailbox etc.).

A self-contained GUI - JunkMatcher Central is also included so you can conduct "Email forensics": testing and building your regular expression patterns, browsing the log file of the past matchings, etc. You can even report spam to SpamCop.net directly from the log window. Many settings are also available in JunkMatcher Central so you can customize the entire matching process to your heart's content.

New in this version:
1. Fast User Switching Support: now multiple users can run Mail.app at the same time with JunkMatcher. JM now uses port range 50000-59999 - it should work as long as there're enough ports available in this range (each user will consume one port).
2. Improved back-end bootstrapping and shutdown: Mail.app should start and stop faster.
3. When importing patterns in JMC, tabs containing changes are now marked with '*'.
4. Bug fix (JM): due to Apple Security Update 2004-06-07, hitting ctrl-shift-J in Mail.app to launch JMC resulted in error message "Finder got an error: An error of type -10814 has occurred".
5. Bug fix (JM): Very rarely JM may crash Mail.app (technical: recv() returns a signed instead of unsigned integer).
6. Bug fix (JMC): Patterns import/export with a path name containing space character(s) works now.
7. Bug fix (JMC): Clicking on "Update" button in the Safe Senders window without selecting a row in the list first resulted in an AppleScript error "the variable theRow is not defined".
8. Bug fix (JMC): If users never set a default browser, attempting to report spam from JMC will cause "Type 1" AppleScript error.
9. Bug fix (JMC): Revert to the default window position if it was dragged outside of screen.

System requirements:
Mac OS X 10.3 or higher

TinyBooks 2.0.2 Accounting for Home and Small Businesses [OS 9/OS X]

TinyBooks (currently for Macintosh only) is an ultra-simple accounting and bookkeeping program designed for home and small businesses and perfect for Sole Proprietors.

TinyBooks is a flexible, non-bloated, single-entry bookkeeping program and the perfect companion to help with taxes throughout and especially at the end of the year. Though designed with small businesses in mind, it can also be used in the home to help with the family finances.

TinyBooks can be used year in and year out. Annual revisions are not necessary. Many tax-related programs (such as TurboTax, or TaxCut) are tied to particular tax year and must be purchased every single year. TinyBooks is NOT tied to a particular tax year. Tax laws may change, but the need to keep track of expenses, income and profits never seems to change!

TinyBooks actually works by itself. All you have to do is enter each expense or income item, as it happens, or at month end, and the program calculates everything else, automatically and instantly. The new non-modal Reports Dialog allows you to create Income and Expense Reports, Account Listings (with profitability automatically calculated), Custom Reports and more. All transactions can also be exported, as desired.

TinyBooks works by keeping track of multiple accounts. There are four basic types of accounts: Deductible Expenses, Non-Deductible Expenses, Taxable Income and Non-Taxable Income. For a typical small business, that's about all that's required. In fact, the non-deductible expenses and non-taxable income accounts are just included for your bookkeeping convenience, as they are not included in profit computations. If you are using this program for home use, rather than small business, such account types are very handy. Business Profit is calculated by subtracting the sum of the deductible expenses from the sum of the taxable income. You never have to request a calculation, all calculations are performed instantly any time you add, delete or modify any item.

Note: TinyBooks is an Apple Carbon Application and works equally well in either Mac OS 9 or Mac OS X.

New in this version:
Improved window handling (windows/dialogs now remember their favored positions and sizes). Also added a new preference allowing the personalization of the Safety-Backup file

System Requirements:
• Mac OS 9 - OS X 10.0 or higher

TinyBooks is $49.00 shareware
