Application Wizard [OS X 10.1 up]
Application Wizard lets you define groups of applications, so that you can quickly open, quit, show and hide more applications at one time.
Groups appear as submenus in the Open, Quit and Switch menus and allow you to open, quit, show and hide single applications or all applications belonging to a group. In addition to that groups let you open applications automatically at startup.
Application Wizard lets you also open and quit more applications at one time by allowing you to select multiple applications in the Open and Quit menus.
To select multiple applications in the Open or Quit menu, highlight them and press the Shift key.
Applications containing both a Mac OS X native and a Mac OS 9 executable normally open in Mac OS X, but there might be occasions - if they depend on plug-ins or drivers that have not been ported to Carbon for instance - when you might wish to open them in Classic.
Application Wizard lets you force these applications - even if they have no Open in the Classic environment option in the Finder's Info window - to open in Classic.
To force applications to open in Classic, select them in the Open menu and press the Option key.
Application Wizard's Open menu lets you open favorite applications or groups of applications, recent applications, applications in the Dock and in the Mac OS X, Classic and Developer Applications folders and System Preferences panes.
Application Wizard's Quit menu lets you quit single applications or groups of applications, quit background-only applications, force applications to quit and force them to quit and relaunch them.
Application Wizard's Switch menu lets you switch to any open application and show or hide single applications or groups of applications.
Application Wizard's Special Menu lets you start and stop Classic, quit, launch and relaunch the Finder, relaunch the Dock, log out, put your computer to sleep, restart it and shut it down.
The Special menu lets you also force Classic to quit, force the Finder and the Dock to quit and relaunch them. To force Classic to quit and force the Finder and the Dock to quit and relaunch them, press the Option key while displaying the Special menu.
New in version 1.3.2:
An incompatibility with Mac OS X 10.2.8 or later which caused the impossibility to add applications to groups or custom applications by dragging their icons from the Finder to the Groups & Applications and Applications lists has been fixed.
An incompatibility with Mac OS X 10.2.8 or later which caused some particular application bundles (e.g. Acrobat Reader 5) not to appear in the Applications Folder, Classic Applications Folder and Developer Applications Folder submenus of the Open menu has been fixed.
Application Wizard has been localized to Japanese. The Application Wizard package runs now in 7 languages: English, Japanese, German, French, Dutch, Spanish and Italian.
System requirements

Enhancement Pack for AppleWorks 1.8 - Over 40 Enhancements for AppleWorks
The Enhancement Pack for AppleWorks adds over 40 new features (accessed through new menu items) to the most popular office program on the Mac.
The Enhancement Pack is designed for AppleWorks 6, but about most of the features (except when working with databases) are also compatible with AppleWorks/ ClarisWorks 5. Once installed, you simply run the added menu commands, directly in AppleWorks. Most features work with any Mac OS configuration from Mac OS 7.5 through Mac OS X (recommended). Microsoft Windows? - dont ask
The most detailed information about each of the enhancements to AppleWorks is given in the Enhancement Features database, included in the Enhancement Pack download. But below is a brief summary, along with some links to some more info on some of the enhancements (but needs updating).
Word processing commands can be used on any word processing document. You can Compare revisions of a document to locate the changes, Convert Labels on numbered paragraphs, Export for XPress, Extract Containing a chosen phrase, Find Repeated Words, build an Index of important words, make a Table of Contents, Web Publish your document with cleaner HTML and META keyword and description tags.
Text scripts can format the selected text as lowercase, UPPERCASE, Word Caps, Title Caps, or Small Caps. You can make a simple Fraction, Unwrap Lines after copying from an email or web page, or Paste Plain text to remove formatting from AppleWorks or another styled text program. Underline Words without underlining the spaces and punctuation.
Drawing commands manipulate graphic objects in the drawing layer of an AppleWorks document. They allow you to: Compare Text Frames, apply Dashed Lines to lines and rectangles, Grow selected objects, Join Prism Corners, Label Dimensions (height and width), Show Properties, place Text Along Arcs.
Spreadsheet commands give you facilities to: Draw Cell Borders so you can make them thicker or patterned, and make Negative Cells Red. Custom functions (see below) add new formula possibilities.
With these extra Database features, you can: Audit Fields, Compare independently edited databases, Duplicate Multiple records any number of times, Find Duplicates and delete the repeated records, Replace all fields with a selected value, formula or series, Web Publish your database for searching over the Internet. The added Lookup function gives you simple relational database features.
Commands that do not require a particular kind of document include: Batch Convert Files, Copy Files Path, List Disks & Space, Reveal in Finder, Copy Function Script. You can Import CSV (comma separated value) and tab delimted text files into a new spreadsheet or database, automatically trimming surrounding quotes and spaces.
Add extra functions to spreadsheet documents and frames and databases: Linear Regression, Lookup, Median, Quartile, Mode, Rank, Frequency. The Enhancement Pack makes these available via the Function... menu command which lets you choose the function call from a list, then paste it into your spreadsheet or database formula.
New in this version:
Batch Convert Files - Can now translate a batch of files into native AppleWorks 6 format. Alters file name extension if saving as AppleWorks, text, RTF, HTML, MS Word or Excel.
Quartile - New function. Returns the score at the desired quartile boundary of the cell range.
Lookup - Fixed the sample Invoice.cwk database to correctly lookup the Contact.cwk database.
System requirements:
AppleWorks 6 preferred (limited compatibility with AppleWorks/ClarisWorks 5).
Enhancement Pack for AppleWorks is $25.00 shareware

Gooeynix 1.1 Simplifies Creating Compressed Files [OS 10.2 up]
Digital Wake's first addition to its software library is a compression and archiving GUI (Graphical User Interface - pronounced "gooey") that allows users of Mac OS X to easily harness the powerful built-in capabilities of Unix. It is called Gooeynix and is a solution for casual users and power-users alike.
Gooeynix 1.1 is a graphical tool that will allow you to create and manage compressed files and archives, by using the power of Unix. You can create a single file of complex directories (compressed or un-compressed) making it portable across networks (emails, downloads, etc.) and disks (backups to secondary media). You can also compress or uncompress single files or the contents of whole directories.
Casual users will use this tool to compress folders into single files for emails, and website downloads, while power-users will use the tool as a part of small backup solutions by updating archives without the headache of typing out those long directories.
All the files you create are 100% compatible with Mac OS X, Unix, and Windows.
Product Features:
Create archives ("tarballs") through a graphical interface
Compress files with a click of the mouse
Extract compressed files and entire directories
Un-archive "tarballs" (widely used archiving format compatible with Windows)
Create compressed archives all in one step
Add files to existing archives
Gooeynix 1.1 has been released to the public and is available for 1.0 users for Free
New in this version:
Fixed an intermittent crash which occurred after prolonged use.
Improved updating abilities within the "tar" command.
Archives are now created from their actual folders. Therefore, when an archive is extracted the original folders appear without parent directories. If the archive is extracted from within Gooeynix, these folders are automatically placed in a folder named after the archive as to avoid misplacing folders.
Added the ability to re-open the Gooeynix window without re-launching the application, should it be closed on accident.
System requirements:
Mac OS 10.2 or later
Gooeynix is $5.00 shareware

New in this version:
Improved handling of removable drives to be more useful and consistent with user expectations.

Mac OS X 10.2 or higher
Compost is $5.00 shareware

Salling Clicker Remote Control Utility For Macintosh Computers [OS 10.2.8 up]
Free yourself from those shackles that is your laptop! Any audience will be impressed with your dynamic walk-around-the-stage performance, as you change slides from your mobile phone or PDA.
Best of all, Salling Clicker provides in-hand access to slide notes from PowerPoint, giving you an edge for important presentations. Our latest version of Salling Clicker goes one step further and previews the title of the upcoming slide (when used with PowerPoint 2004). Never again shall you be caught out of sync with your presentation!
From the very first version, many users have used Salling Clicker to control iTunes. With version 2.2, we've taken things to the next level. With out-of-the-box support for award-winning products such as EyeTV from Elgato and Squeezebox from Slim Devices, Salling Clicker becomes a great remote control for your TV-watching and networked music listening.
Needless to say, because of historically strong support for iTunes, Salling Clicker is also the perfect remote control for Apple's new Airport Express with AirTunes.
Don't you hate it when someone hogs the CD-player for hours during your party? Using your computer as a juke-box (with password-protected screen saver on), this is a problem of the past. Salling Clicker lets you pick the songs while taking care of your guests.
Not only can you move between and scan within tracksSalling Clicker lets you search for tracks by name, artist, composer, and album. When used with a Palm OS handheld or Symbian phone, upcoming tracks or album artwork is shown in your handheld's display.
Imagine giving a picture slide show presentation. After receiving a question from your captivated audience, you realize that you need to show some pictures you took on your trip to Phnom Phen in January, 2001.
Salling Clicker lets you search your iPhoto library by date, even giving you a chance to preview pictures on select handhelds before actually showing them on your Mac display or an LCD-projector. There is no easier way to give picture slide shows that go beyond the script.
Watch DVD movies or TV (with EyeTV) on your computer without ever leaving your couch (well, we can think of at least one reason you might have to).
When used with a phone, Salling Clicker will pause the player when you receive a phone call.
To top it off, Salling Clicker v.2.2 even lets you quickly check for new e-mail or news.
No longer do you have to untangle yourself from those Sennheisers or climb out of your drum set, just to change a simple setting on your studio Mac. Thanks to Salling Clicker's extensible architecture and AppleScript, musicians can create controllers to fit their digital recording environment.
As an added bonus to those recording artists on a shoe-string budget, Salling Clicker allows for a quieter recording environment as you can move your computer out of the studio.
Musicians may want to check out Hannes Juutilainen's script generator to control many professional audio applications (Logic, Cubase, and Digital Performer) from Salling Clicker.
Thanks to Salling Clicker's great support for AppleScript, you too can extend it to control the applications we forgot or were unable to support out-of-the-box. Let us know what's important to you, or send us your contributions. Additional scripts to extend Salling Clicker's functionality are available on this page.
Salling Clicker is a smart investment, because it works with a handheld device you already own, leveraging features you already paid for (such as color display). Other remote control solutions don't even come close.
