If you've had an iPod for a while, you've got iPod accessories. Besides the obvious things like headphones, iPod owners tend to buy AC adapters, car adapters, FM transmitters, wireless remotes, external battery packs, microphones, speakers, and more. I've even got laser pointer and flashlight add-ons for my 30-gig iPod!

But where do you keep all these tiny items? The answer comes from San Francisco's Waterfield Designs with their nifty iPod Gear Pouches.

The new small pouch is ideal for smaller iPods such as the new nano, or for people with fewer accessories. The larger pouch if great if you've got more items, such as bulky AC adapters or maybe a Gameboy.

Waterfield iPod Gear Pouch

The pouch is a simple horizontal case with a zippered top. The soft fabric inside has pockets on each side (the pockets are various sizes, and one side's pockets are deeper) with room for more cargo in the middle area. The large pouch also has a zippered pocket on the outside.

Like all Waterfield products, the workmanship is top notch. The bags feel elegant and strong; you never get the feeling that stitching will come loose or unravel with use. The pouches are mostly black, with just a bit of color wrapped along three sides of the base. The color is in Waterfield's distinctive checkboard pattern; you can choose from five popular colors.

I love my pouch. Not only is it convenient for taking accessories with me on trips or excursions, it's awesome for just general storage. Instead of running around the house wondering where I left my iPod cable or where I put the FM transmitter or my favorite earphones, I now know exactly where all my accessories are located!

Not Just for iPods

Even if you don't own an iPod, you'll find these pouches handy. They're ideal for holding any sort of small electronic accessories: handheld game players and games, AC adapters, cables, even digital cameras and their accessories. The small internal pockets make organizing accessories easy and keep everything protected from loss or damage.

Bottom Line

Waterfield Designs' iPod Gear Pouches are fantastic—and essential to anyone with more than a couple iPod accessories. The new small pouch is awesome for iPod nano users or those with fewer accessories.
