In looking at different decorative and protective devices for the iPod shuffle, I am rapidly discovering that more is needed to protect this device from scratching, marking, etc. Kiwali has designed a device called the ShuffleDeco which has the intent of offering protection for the Shuffle. In fact, the company refers to it as a "designer vinyl jumpsuit for your iPod Shuffle."

This "jumpsuit" basically is an adhesive vinyl sticker which is placed on your shuffle. Its two part, backless construction is supposed to make it easier for the user to use and apply. However, I think it important to state that these stickers are not the easiest things to place on the Shuffle. Please note, though, that my patience level is pretty thin, so when placing the sticker on to the Shuffle, I find it pretty difficult to remove the sticker if I didn’t estimate its location well. The ShuffleDeco is designed to be an easy on/easy off item, but I have found that taking it off is a much simpler task.

This device is relatively inexpensive, costing $7 a piece for one, and Kiwali does offer a full replacement guarantee. In looking at the 20 different design options, I saw a wide range of colors and designs, but unfortunately, did not find any of them too visually appealing. However, in looking at the benefit of having something to offer some type of scratch protection with minimal cost, I believe the ShuffleDeco is worthy of your consideration, especially as Kiwali will offer you a replacement if anything should happen to yours.
