Quickertek says:
Here at QuickerTek we have been excited about Leopard since January, hoping that it would be all Mr. Jobs told us it was. Unfortunately for us, we are not in the loop enough to get an advance copy of Leopard for testing. This means we have been testing all our products since the first day Leopard was released to the public. We were very pleased to see some of our devices worked without any driver revision. This applies to our nQuicky and nNano. The Quicky, Quicky Jr, and iQuicky did require an update, which we have supplied on our website. The other product requiring an update is our nQuicky CardBus (as used in PowerBooks).
This driver update solves is the sleep issue. Now all versions of the Quicky driver will be unified, and all support sleep. This applies to all nQuickies as well. This update is certainly not limited to Leopard. All computers running OS X 10.3.9 Panther and 10.4.10 Tiger are updated too. We realize that not everyone wants to switch to the latest iteration of OS X, Panther and Tiger are great operating systems. We also realize that we are catering to those of you with older Macs that are incapable of smoothly running Leopard. We intend to make drivers for Panther and newer.
A word about updating to Leopard software: It's good practice to occasionally repair disk permissions. The reason being, Apple has the foresight to see that as OS X's popularity grows, the threat of viruses rises. To prevent this any major change to how OS X operates, third-party software blocked to prevent malicious code from running automatically. Although our software is benign, OS X realizes that network ports are being added, which could be what a hacker might use to get an opening to your system. So all that is required is user approval (login and password for OS X). In reality, it's just our software doing what it's supposed to, give you better wireless. Additionally repairing disk permissions can be a slight performance boost because it makes sure you have access to all that you have installed.
After this we require that you remove your existing QuickerTek software from your computer as used in Tiger. This is key because it is easy to have two versions of the software on the computer and have Leopard trying to use the Tiger driver.
