"Who doesn't want to pay less for more? These Neptune solutions wrap the same premium Oxford911 bridge solution and heavy-duty power supply used in our top-rated high-end Mercury Elite FireWire product in a value-based design," said Larry O1Connor, president of OWC. "These high-performance solutions have a great look and get the job done whether it be editing audio or video files, playing music, backing up your important files or just adding badly needed storage."
The drives ship with all FireWire cables, Intech HD SpeedTools and EMC/Dantz Retrospect Backup, and are supported by a one-year OWC warranty. Each one measures 1.52 X 92 X 5.52 and weighs less than three pounds.
The price also has been reduced to $139.95 on the OWC Neptune DVR-109 FireWire solution. This agile drive has burn speeds of up to 16X for DVD+/-R and up to 40X for CD-R. Each one ships with NTI Dragonburn, EMC/Dantz Retrospect Backup, five pieces of DVD-R media, 25 pieces of CD-R media and all cables. All drives are covered by a one-year OWC warranty.
