Browser Share
Turning to browsers, there was more good news for my favorite browser, Opera, which now has a cumulative 2.49 percent share when Opera Mini is included, thanks largely to its popularity in Eastern Europe and Asia. The new Opera 10 final released a month ago seems to have boosted use a bit. The Firefox browser still is nibbling away at Internet Explorer's erstwhile hegemony, while Safari gained over the month, and Firefox was the biggest gainer among browsers with Google's newcomer (and so far Windows-only) Chrome the runner up.
Browser Total Market Share (August figures in parentheses):
Microsoft Internet Explorer - 65.71% (66.97%)
Firefox - 23.75% (22.98%)
Safari 4.24% (4.07%)
Chrome - 3.17% (2.59%)
Opera - 2.19% (2.04%)
Netscape - 0.35% (0.49%)
Opera Mini - 0.30% (0.31%)
Mozilla - 0.11% (0.11%)
Konqueror - 0.04% (0.05%)

Certain types of businesses can survive - or even thrive - in a down economy, representing solid money-making potential even when times are not so great.Right now isn’t the greatest time to get a first mortgage, but it is a great time for mortgage loan modification – but you have to be wary of unlicensed lenders. It wasn’t unlicensed lenders that caused the housing bubble to burst, but they certainly didn’t help anyone either – and now it’s even harder to track them down and find if they’re legitimate or crooks. Compounding the problem is that so many more lenders can get Federal Housing Administration
underwriting, so less than honest lenders are getting federal backing, and it’s nigh impossible for the government to find all the bad apples. Persons looking for mortgage loan modification should take care and watch for unlicensed lenders.
