• Copying and pasting portion of paragraph - Creating a paragraph, applying a different font and style to part of the paragraph, copying a section of it, and then pasting it somewhere else in the paragraph would cause the style and font to be lost. This has been fixed.
• Installing Canvas demo - When trying to install Canvas as a demo an alert will appear asking if the user really wants to run as demo and supplies the user with two buttons, one of which points to the trial evaluation registration page.
• Opening Canvas 8 Dimension objects - Create a dimension object in Canvas 8 with a custom unit. Open this file in Canvas 9. The dimension will no longer show the units. This has been corrected; Canvas will now display a static text containing the custom unit as a value.
• Opening dimension objects from previous versions of Canvas 9 - There were problems reported with dimension objects becoming corrupted when created in earlier versions of Canvas 9 and then opened in 9.0.2. This has been fixed.
• Panther and closing documents - After resizing the document window and then closing the document, Canvas would crash. This has been fixed.
• Error in console log - An error would occur in the console log when Canvas was launched. The plst resource has been fixed.
• Installation and multiple users - Frameworks will now be installed to the Libraries/Frameworks folder. Multiple users can use Canvas on one machine.
• Registration Mark tool - The creation of a registration mark could not be undone. This has been fixed.
• Creating multigon or cube objects - When using the Multigon tool or Cube tool, the object’s starting point would not be where the user first clicked the crosshair. This has been fixed.
• Dual monitor - When using a dual monitor setup, the Canvas window would move back to the primary monitor if window is resized or maximized. This has been fixed.
• Clean Up palettes command and closing Object Specs palette - With multiple palettes open, including the Object Specs palette, after applying the Clean Up command and then expanding and closing the Object Specs palette, the palette(s) below Object Specs would be separated from the other rolled up palettes. This has been fixed.
• Setting transparency for 100+ objects - When more than 100 objects were selected, you could not set transparency. This has been fixed.

SFX Machine RT 1.03 for Macintosh Real-Time Audio Effects Plug-In for Macintosh
The Sound Guy, Inc., has announced the release of SFX Machine RT 1.03, a real-time audio effects plug-in. SFX Machine RT is available in VST format for Mac OS 8/9/X and Windows, as well as Audio Unit format for Mac OS X.
SFX Machine RT comes with hundreds of presets, including conventional effects like choruses and flangers as well as a wide variety of unique effects. Many of the presets include a pitch tracker or envelope follower, allowing the effect to respond intelligently to the input signal. The plug-in also allows automated parameter control via a simple "MIDI Learn" interface. A Randomize button enables the user to get an idea of the range of possibilities contained within each preset.
"SFX Machine RT has been used to do sound design for radio production, TV shows, feature films, CDs and video games," said Earl Vickers, CEO of The Sound Guy, Inc.
