Diskology Adds Serial ATA (SATA) Adapter to Disk Jockey Product Lineup
Diskology, Inc. introduced a low-cost serial ATA (SATA) adapter that works specifically with their popular Disk Jockey hard disk cloning / mirroring / erase tool today. The Disk Jockey SATA adapter lets users connect high-performance SATA hard disk drives to the Disk Jockeys standard parallel ATA (PATA) drive connectors.
This new SATA adapter definitely keeps us moving forward with new technology such as the new, high-performance SATA hard disk drives, said Tony Overbay, Diskology CEO. Now our customers can copy, span, mirror, test or erase data on any combination of PATA, SATA or laptop hard disk drives. This makes the Disk Jockey a much more versatile tool.
The Disk Jockey is a revolutionary new portable IDE hard disk cloning device. In additional to performing block-level copies of data at speeds of 2 GB per minute, the Disk Jockey will also span two disks together to appear as one logical volume, mirror hard disk drives for automatic backup, test, compare and erase hard disk drives using either a one-pass erase or a three-pass erase per National Security Administration (NSA) guidelines. The Disk Jockey can also mount drives to a Mac or Windows desktop via a firewire or USB interface. The Disk Jockey recently received a 5 out of 6 star rating from PC Test Pro as well as a 4 mouse rating from MacUser UK.
The Disk Jockey SATA adapters will also help the Disk Jockey provide a more attractive solution to Macintosh IT and MIS managers as all new Macintosh G5 desktop machines now ship with internal SATA drives. Many PC manufacturers are switching to SATA drives as boot drives as well.
With the SATA adapters, we can dramatically speed up the time it takes to roll out new drives, disk images and integrate new computers into a network across both large and small companies, said Overbay.
Although not specifically tested with competing products, Diskology expects the new SATA adapters to work with any IDE hard disk cloning product.
The Disk Jockey SATA adapters are available for $39.95 on the Diskology web store, or from Diskology resellers worldwide. For more information on the Disk Jockey SATA adapters you can visit http://www.diskology.com or email Diskology recently added longer cables to their product lineup as well as two differing laptop hard disk adapters for use with the $329 MSRP Disk Jockey (street price below $300 from resellers).

Innovative Consulting Company Improves Sales Force Automation in the Macintosh Environment Using Clear Technologies' C2 CRM
Clear Technologies has announced that Root Learning, Inc. has chosen C2 CRM to expand and automate their sales force and marketing activities. Looking beyond contact management and their current ACT software, Root Learning will additionally focus on integrating its client services to better track customer relationships and business activities.
"It was important for us to find a CRM solution that could co-exist within a Macintosh environment and in researching solutions, C2 was one of the few on the market that could accommodate our technical needs and still provide a very flexible, intuitive CRM offering," said Michelle Prand, Director of IT for Root Learning, Inc. "With C2's implementation, Root Learning will concentrate on improving efforts in sales force automation, marketing management and building stronger client relationships. As we look to integrate our processes for marketing, sales and client services, C2 will be a valuable tool involving a close partnership between IT, Marketing and Sales."
Working closely with Aktion Associates' Scott Irwin, the Clear team paid special attention to Root Learning's goal of increasing organizational efficiency through the use of advanced contact management tools and expanding its current marketing activity utilizing C2's highly developed broadcast email functionality. Aktion Associates is Clear Technologies' C2 CRM Solution Provider for Michigan and Ohio.
"We chose C2 over other solutions because we liked the way it conformed to our existing environment and business requirements, and because of how it will help us take our business to the next level," said Prand. Written in HTML and 100% web based, C2 is ideal for companies with outside consultants or representatives needing complete off-line capabilities. "For Root Learning, C2 CRM will be a benefit across every area of our business," Prand continued.
"C2 continues to out-perform competing applications, and in this case Sales Logix, by offering tremendous flexibility in terms of its open architecture," said Mickey Patton, President and COO for Clear Technologies' C2 Division. "The fact that C2 integrates well with the Mac environment is another reason SMB companies should look at our comprehensive CRM solution."
