SubRosaSoft.com Announces the the release of PodSalvage, CameraSalvage, OfficeSalvage, and MovieSalvage
SubRosaSoft.com LLC. announces the immediate availability of the latest versions of the entire salvage range of software. Following the release of FileSalvage - four more applications now join in the range. The latest generation of the Mac OS X software incorporates a faster and more accurate data scan and recovery engine, more file format support, and a free trial version with a much requested preview mode.
The SubRosaSoft Salvage Mac OS X applications are extremely powerful tools for data recovery. The Salvage range is device and filesystem independent. They will retrieve files that have been deleted, rescue data from corrupted media, and recover lost files from your hard drive or storage device (most media devices are supported such as: Mac OS hard drives, USB keys, PC drives, Linux disks, FLASH cards, CDs, DVDs, and almost any other media that your Mac can recognize).
"The latest generation of our Salvage range incorporates a new data recovery engine with improved file format support." Said Ben Slaney, senior engineer for the SubRosaSoft Salvage range of products. "The speed of data recovery has been greatly enhanced and it is even more accurate in locating deleted files. The new Mac OS X applications can undelete or recover more key file formats, ranging from the most common ones such as JPEG, MP3, Safari bookmarks, to proprietary formats such as Quark Xpress, QuickBook, Photoshop, and the leading RAW camera file formats."
"The latest range of applications in our Salvage range sport an improved user interface." Explained Marko Kostyrko, CEO of SubRosaSoft.com. "They scan the disk faster to locate the files you deleted, then you can preview the files you need for rescuing. For example, if you are only interested in recovering a few of your deleted JPEG files, you can reduce the amount of time and disk space required for the rescue operation by simply selecting only the specific files you want to recover."
Even with such features and the performance, our Salvage range is extremely straightforward to use. The easy-to-use interface is designed for all OS X users. The whole recovery operation can be completed with a few clicks.
Risk free trial version - see what data can be recovered before you purchase.
File Preview - see what you are going to get before you recover your deleted file.
Easy-to-use interface - reduces data recovery process to a few clicks. Device and file system independent - allows recovery from almost any media.
Free space eraser - permanently erases the free space on your volume in a secure fashion.
Disk shredder - sanitizes drive securely.
Works on faulty hardware - recovers data from mechanically unsounded disks or corrupted devices.

QuickHelp 2.0 Help Authoring for Windows, Macintosh & Linux
Excel Software began shipping QuickHelp 2.0 for Windows, Macintosh and Linux. QuickHelp is a development tool for creating and deploying application help on Windows 95 through XP, Mac OS 9, Mac OS X and Linux. QuickHelp is unique in its ability to author, maintain and test application help in a single tabbed window running on your platform of choice, then deploy the help system to virtually any computer. Help information resides in an XML file distributed with a royalty-free, native viewer executable for each platform.
QuickHelp 2.0 adds configurable actions, tables, parameters, default options, precompiled indexes and other performance enhancements making it 2 to 3 times faster than previous versions. Configurable actions include running an executable, presenting a popup message, linking to different topics based on platform, running COM methods, sending Apple Events, running a compiled AppleScript or presenting QuickTime movies. In addition to traditional tables with bordered rows and columns, tables can present tabular data without borders or various styles of itemized lists providing infinite formatting possibilities. Developers can parameterize topics, actions, tables and other aspects of the help system when installing or running their application. For example, a single help file can provide customized help that is tailored to different platforms or product editions.
For the end user, the QuickHelp Viewer supports an expandable table of contents, web browser like navigation, an index with automatic search field and word searches across topics. Topics are presented with text, images, tables, user initiated actions and hypertext links between topics plus context sensitive help from any application.
For the developer, the QuickHelp Builder provides a highly productive authoring environment that combines the Contents and Index panels from the Viewer edition with the Edit and General panels for editing the help system. The Edit panel is used to add, format, edit, delete or move topics within the Contents tree. Each topic has a field for defining index words and a context sensitive identifier string that links it to an application menu, button or dialog. Topics or portions of a topic can be conditionally visible based on the current platform or other variables. The General panel has buttons to save, open, close, verify, import or export help topics. Developers can manage a library of images, actions, tables and default options that customize QuickHelp for authoring and deployment. QuickHelp handles administrative activities like maintaining links between topics, reordering topics and locating bad links, missing index words or unused and missing references for images, tables or actions.
QuickHelp Windows, QuickHelp MacOSX and QuickHelp Linux are $195 each or all three platforms for $295. Each platform includes a Builder and Viewer executable, QuickHelp Viewer distribution license, a printed manual, online help and PDF manual on CD. Site licensing information, product descriptions and online ordering are available at http://www.excelsoftware.com . Established in 1985, Excel Software provides development tools to thousands of Windows, Macintosh and Linux developers worldwide.

BeeMail Single user Extension - Attach files of ANY size, using your current Email.
BeeMail is an extension for Windows or Macintosh e-mail clients that allows users to securely transfer files of ANY size as attachments. Beehive supports any email client using SMTP as the sending protocol, such as Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora, Notes etc. BeeMail comes with one year of access to 50MB of secure storage space (or you may use your own ftp site for unlimited storage space).
Free BeeMail Single User download includes 30 days of free, secure storage space (50MB). After 30 days you can register your BeeMail Single user client Online for $49.95.
The BeeMail Secure File Transfer Extension has many benefits.
BeeMail will Save You Money - by reducing the amount of money you spend on air-courier fees sending data.
BeeMail is the Fastest Way to Securely Transfer Files - With streaming file compression, BeeMail is many times faster than email or ftp.
BeeMail is Secure - BeeMail uses the Https-SSL secure protocol; it is suitable for HIPAA, Banking and DOD sites.
BeeMail is Easy to Use - BeeMail has no user interface to learn and you are free to attach files of ANY size.
BeeMail gives you More Control - With BeeMail, you control when you want to download files, unlike standard email where large file attachments will immediately download whether you are ready-or-not.
How Does BEEMAIL Secure File Transfer Work?:
1) Any email user with the BeeMail utility installed can send email with LARGE files attached. All BeeMail operations are Completely Transparent to the Email user!
2) If the attachment size exceeds a certain threshold set by the administrator (typically 5MB) then BeeMail separates the attachments from the email body and substitutes a URL for the attachments. The message body is then handled by the standard mail server.
3) BeeMail, operating in the background, sends the files to the default https secure file transfer server and applies streaming compression on the fly to speed transfer times.
4) When the email is received by the recipient, they notice that there is a URL and instructions for file retrieval appended to the message.
5) The recipient clicks on the URL in the message and his browser is launched with the BeeMail Java Applet loaded.
6) The files are downloaded to the user's computer and are streaming decompressed on the fly.
When BeeMail is ordered as a Single User annual subscription for $49.95, you automatically receive 50MB of secure storage space, (the 50MB of secure storage space you are assigned can hold considerably more than a 50MB of files because the files are compressed). You may register BeeMail online after you download one of the clients or you may order BeeMail by using the BeeMail Single User Order Form.
You may optionally use your own ftp storage space or rent additional HTTPS Secure Internet storage space from Beehive. Beehive Secure File Transfer storage space may be purchased in 500MB and 1GB blocks from Beehive. Beehive Secure storage space is HTTPS-SSL secure and is suitable for HIPAA, DOD and other secure applications. This storage space is billed annually, in advance of use. E-Quill - AirO2bic Mouse [Formerly Quill Mouse]
The only Ergonomically Functional Neutral mouse that does not require to be gripped and untwists the wrist. It is a 3-Button, scroll wheel mouse, USB "plug-n-play" so no software is usually required for basic operation. Some brands of PC may require an extra module for button assignment which is available from the "User" section of the Support pages.
A PS/2 adaptor is provided, primarily for NT 4.0 users, all other users are advised to use USB as this is a high speed optical device that operates more effectively on that basis. PC and Mac compatible, it removes Static Posture, a working position that keeps muscles tensed, which is now associated with the development of impairment in computer mouse users and impedes their use by persons with disability. It is Universally Assistive Technology in that it does not discriminate in either appearance or by its use and, we assert, meets the relevant standards for Accessible Technology, defined under Section 508 Law.
Right or Left Handed; Onyx or Pearl

Torbay Holdings Inc.: Obtains a Supportive Legal Opinion in Regards to Its AirO2bic Mouse Product
Torbay Holdings Inc. has obtained a legal opinion that discusses the potential tort liability of manufacturers, distributors & sellers who have marketed alternative designs of computer mice and where the difference between those designs and that of Torbay's AirO2bic mouse may have resulted in repetitive stress injuries, if such injuries are shown to likely have been reduced or even avoided by using AirO2bic mouse (pronounced aerobic mouse).
Product Liability Law Discussion:
"A product is defective when, at the time of sale or distribution, it contains a manufacturing defect, is defective in design, or is defective because of inadequate instructions or warnings."
"Both manufacturers and sellers of products have been found legally liable for failing to discover a product flaw, failing to warn of a product's dangerous condition, and failing to design a product without defects."
" ... a product is defective in design when the foreseeable risks of harm posed by the product could have been reduced or avoided by the adoption of a reasonable alternative design ..."
"Thus, one of the primary ways of showing a design defect is by presenting evidence of the availability and feasibility of alternate designs at the time of the product's manufacture, or showing that the design used did not conform with design standards of the industry or design criteria set by legislation or governmental regulation."
"Moreover, the AirO2bic mouse is apparently the only conventional mouse that is asserted by its manufacturer as being compliant with Section 508 of the Federal Rehabilitation Act (29 U.S.C. 794d) and is listed on the government's Section 508 website. The failure of other mice to comply with the governmental regulations of Section 508 could also be effective evidence of safer design alternatives in such a lawsuit."
Opinion Conclusion:
Simply stated, a product is unreasonably dangerous when the evidence establishes that a safer design for the product was practical and effective and could have been provided without hindering the product's function or materially increasing its price.
If a conventional mouse has a tendency to cause repetitive stress injuries, parties in the distributive chain--manufacturers, distributors and sellers--could be held liable for injuries resulting from their sale of the conventional mouse, since a safer design alternative may now exist with the AirO2bic mouse, which continues to show a reduction in the likelihood of such injuries.
Respectfully submitted,
Ronald Kirk Goulding

Tom Large, President & CEO of Torbay Holdings Inc., stated, "We have taken this step in obtaining this opinion so as to provide focus and awareness for our colleagues in the industry. The adoption of a new and credible mouse design alternative may be beneficial in reducing the likelihood of injury so minimizing the possibility of incurring the costs and distractions that could be anticipated in an increasingly litigiously postured marketplace. This could also be to the potential benefit of millions of customers in a now highly 'computerized-world'"
