*NIX Manual 2.0 Widget To Perform Lookups On *NIX Commands.

1057 *NIX manual provides a clean and friendly interface for performing look-ups on commonly (and, more importantly, not so commonly) used commands, either locally or through freeBSD.org. It stores preferences for font and a fully-customizable set of colors and also includes 9 attractive pre-made color sets. Pages are neatly-formatted and highlighted based upon your color preferences.

Manage your Manual

A brand new command history in version 2.0 greatly enhances the usefulness of *NIX Manual, allowing you to freely manage multiple man pages in a single widget instance. Although *NIX Manual doesn't follow the standard "tab" metaphor, it provides just as much flexibility without cluttering the widget with extra graphical elements. As you enter commands, they will automatically appear within the command history, which holds the pages in memory for instant access and retains other details such as scroll position, making it a viable replacement for tabs. You can cycle forward and back through the history using ⌘] and ⌘[ respectively. You can also jump immediately to any command in the history by selecting it from the popup disguised as the "command tab" in the upper left.

The maximum number of pages kept within the history can be customized, but at times you may wish to "close a tab" as well. To do this, simply press 'q' (as you would usually press to exit a man page) and the current page will be immediately removed from the history. To clear the entire history, simply select this option from the history list.

For more information about features and shortcuts, search for "help" from the command field.
