"I should be thanking Steve Jobs for saving me money. It’s been nearly 31 months since I upgraded my computer system -- the longest I’ve gone without purchasing a Mac since I first took the plunge back in 1992.
"I figure that I might well have succumbed to the siren call of new hardware by now if it weren’t for the fact that there has been very little new hardware to entice me in Mac portables for quite some time now. I usually begin to get the upgrade itch about 18 months in, but a full-year beyond that point, I’m still quite satisfied with my G3 iBook in comparison to what’s available in newer product."
