Press release edited by Applelinks senior editor Kirk Hiner
The new gaming company Tricky Software, comprising veteran game makers who are taking a shot at creating the games they want to create, have announced development of Armado, due for release in October.
With the emergence of online distribution, Tricky Software sees this as a very exciting time for small developers. They have written their own cross-platform technology that will allow them to release all titles simultaneously for both Macintosh and Windows, and they've been working on their initial game using this very technology.
Armado is an arcade-style game revolving around an Armadillo named Armado. He gets caught up in an adventure that will take him across his land through the dense woodlands all the way to the fiery volcanic mountains. Along the way, he'll be meeting a lot of resistance, and he'll have to be very quick in his boots to survive. The developers tried to make the game suitable for all ages, and they think there's something for everyone.
Their website is now live, so go see their company and preview their work in progress. Of course they want any feedback you have to give.
