4500 Synthesis Studios announces that MoRU has evolved into a new product named FileSpot. Synthesis fully embraces the phrase "change for the better"... which is why they've revamped MoRU. Remember, MoRU was a huge improvement over the basic Spotlight interface. FileSpot takes what MoRU started even further.

FileSpot still contains the features that made MoRU great, such as the ability to use Boolean logic in your search constraints, tabular search results, and time based sorting. They've kept the components that made MoRU great, but added some new and innovative elements to make FileSpot even stronger.

For starters, FileSpot offers File Tagging. Like bookmarks for files, you can tag photos, emails, MP3 files, PDFs, office documents, anything... and then find it quickly with FileSpot.

Also, FileSpot is loaded with arbitrarily complex Boolean logic constraints. Nested ANDs, ORs, and NOTs mean you can find exactly what you're looking for.

Another feature is FileSpot's ability to customize columns per search. Now you can view any metadata attribute in a column, then sort and filter it.

One more great tool is the preview function. With this, you can automatically preview images, PDFs, movies, audio files, text files... you name it.

Custom Columns
Every file type has its own set of metadata, so why force the same basic columns on all of your files? In FileSpot, any metadata attribute can be made into a column. Want to sort by image width? MP3 tags? You can.
