MacSword!

From John McCormack

Dear Charles

I live in China and have tried several times to download MacSword from their website http://www.macsword.com

Unfortunately it is constantly blocked from here (although I can access Windows download site without any problem). Do you know of any other sites where I can download this, or how I can get a CD version of the software?

Much appreciated
John McCormack

From John Dennis

Well I get the daily build of FireFox with FireFix and today I finally got DSL live. It used to take about 15 minutes to download on a dial up and now it took seconds to download. I now have 1261 down and 211 up. For me this is pretty fast and I am happy with it.

I know you are away from any thing and can not get DSL access. Hopefully some day they will be able to get wireless to you some how or maybe even access through the power company. I am also very impressed with the provider I chose as they made sure I was able to connect and the general manager even called me. They even called me and sbc to make sure that my modem was configured the way it should be so I could connect to the internet. I am impressed with this company and look forward to having DSL for at least the next year.

Hi John;

Glad you've got broadband.

My wife heard a rumor today that DSL may make it to this area sooner than we expected, but I'l believe it when I see it.

How do I figure out, (or where do I go to find out) which Apple Part number goes with which model?

re: What version of Windows are you using?

From BearyandBow

I had trouble with my cable modem or more likely it was the line for about a week and a half. I remember calling down there and say I am using OS X and one of the tech support persons said my antivirus program was interfering with the connection. Unfortunately I have this stubborness about being polite, and I was so shocked by how dumb she was that I didn't think until later that she probably thought I was using XP.
