"Other disk sizing applications only let you see the size of each file or folder" said Martin Redington, founder of MildMannered Industries. "But when you're trying to clean up your disk, you don't really care how much space the operating system, for example, takes up. What you want to know is, what's taking up the space that used to be free?"
"Baseline lets you see what's changed on your hard disk. You can also opt to see only the items that have changed. Baseline removes the clutter, making it trivially easy to see where your disk space as gone."
To make cleaning up even easier, files and folders can be deleted, compressed, or archived directly from within Baseline. Baseline also knows which files and folders belong to installed packages, and will warn users if they try and remove them.
Baseline features:
* Superfast Disk Scanning.
* Compare Disks against saved Baselines.
* View only the items that have changed.
* Delete, Compress, or Archive items from within Baseline.
* Detects system and package installed files and warns before removing them.
* Leopard Ready
System Requirements:
Baseline requires Mac OS X Tiger or Leopard.
Baseline licenses cover personal use on an unlimited number of computers, or business use on a single computer. Licenses are available at an introductory price of $10 until the end of November.
A free fully functional 14 day demo is available for download. After the 14 day trial period is over, Baseline will not display comparisons against previously saved scans, but all other functionality will remain intact.
