447 Microspot Ltd. developers of 2D and 3D graphics and photo applications, has announced the release of version 4.0.2 of Interiors and Interiors Professional. These new versions add faster operation with textures and the ability to handle door and window objects that overhang the wall space like bay windows.

The updater is free for users of Interiors 4 and is downloadable from the Microspot web site:

Both versions of Interiors have been improved to better handle files where the same texture appears multiple times. Previously each instance of a texture was processed and saved separately. Now the program recognises identical textures and keeps only one copy of each. This results in vastly smaller files and faster operation when room designs with multiple instances of the same texture are viewed.

Interiors Professional's Item Tag Palette has had a new tag type added. Windows and doors are totally enclosed in a transparent box which fits itself into the wall space when these items were placed on a wall. The new tag allows you to create a similar box that will enclose only the part of the window or door that needs to be within the wall space. The rest of the object can hang outside this box allowing the easy creation of open windows and doors, overhanging sills and complete bow windows. Interiors does not include this palette but the program does allow the addition of objects created with it.

Microspot Interiors is a high quality, low cost 3D interior design tool for Mac OS X. It allows you to draw your room outline to scale with easy to use wall drawing tools then drop in furniture items to try different layouts. When the design is complete it can be rendered with smooth edges and real shadows for photographic realism. The completed design can be printed or exported in many different picture formats for use in other documents.
