Instead of cramping a bunch of mini-apps together, Espresso aims to focus Web development workflows into one streamlined app. Projects start out with an organized one-window workspace, providing instant access to files, publishing and more. From there, you have complete freedom in customizing your environment: quickly search for files, reorder often-used pages or drag off tabs into their own window.
One central philosophy defines Espresso: do it right, or don't do it at all. That's why we worked hard to create a rock solid, extensible editing engine featuring dynamic snippets, code folding, live searching, spell checking and much more. Espresso 1.0 ships with full-featured support for HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP, but its core was designed to be extended. There are already many third-party Sugars (plug-ins) available, allowing you to add support for many new languages.
Espresso's publishing tools rival those of dedicated file transfer applications. Not content with the usual save-upload solutions, we added complete server syncing tools in a delicious interface. Update, merge or mirror your projects to SFTP, FTP or S3 and never forget to upload a file again. For tweaks directly on the server, Espresso features a complete Browse mode with remote editing - removing the last reason to dust off your FTP client.
Espresso is available for €49.95 if you already own CSSEdit 2, or €59.95 at full price.
