Macintosh Pioneer Unveils “Games for Grown-ups”

1019 Information Appliance Associates (IAA), the groundbreaking creators of the original Mac-to- Windows-Mobile and Mac-to-BlackBerry sync solutions, unveils the product of over a year of research and testing, four fun, new games designed to reduce stress and provide refreshing work breaks for Mac users.

"These first 4 games are just the beginning," said Tim Goggin, VP of Marketing & Sales for IAA. "This new product line is devoted to providing adults with a computerized version of the schoolyard recess that everyone looked forward to as kids."

Every game on PocketMacGames.com was designed, tested and re- crafted to maximize stress reduction and provide a quick break to game users during the day. The foundation for this thinking comes from a 2003 Dutch study from the University of Utrecht, which concluded that game breaks increase job satisfaction and productivity.

"It's after we found this great solution that we went a little crazy," Goggin continued. "These first four games are just the beginning. We're in the games business for good. It's too much fun, and we think Mac users will feel the same way."

The four inaugural games released today are:

(*) PocketMac LunarMines--a captivating arcade game in which the player has to defend lunar mine machinery from sabotage from fun- loving moon creatures.
(*) PocketMac Tic-Tac-Toe--a dynamic remake of the classic Tic- Tac-Toe game complete with options to expand the number of cells to make it challenging again.
(*) PocketMac Hangman--a bedeviling rethinking of the original childhood classic Hangman game, with options to set the relative difficulty of the words in the game.
(*) PocketMac TaiwanTiles--a tile-matching Mahjong game complete with beautiful Asian art tiles and delightful sound effects and relaxing music.

"We're so proud of these games that we've backed the products with a 90-day money back guarantee. And now the entire Mac world can have the same fun, stress relief that we experienced creating these games," Goggin concluded. "We've put a lot of thought, love and care into these games and I think Mac users are just going to eat them up. With a cherry on top. And sprinkles."
