Browser Share

Turning browsers, the Firefox browser exceeded 20% share in November '08, gained more ground in December and January, squeaked out a tiny gain again in February, slipped in March but bounced back in April, while Safari also lost ground in April, and Internet Explorer continues to slowly fade. Google's newcomer (and so far Windows-only) Chrome now has nearly 1.5 percent of the browser market. Opera has remained static at within a tenth of a point of 0.7 percent for the past four months, and oddly slipped behind long-discontinued Netscape in April.

Microsoft Internet Explorer  - 66.10% (66.82%)

Firefox  - 22.48% (22.05%)

Safari  8.21% (8.23%)

Chrome - 1.42% (1.23%)
