Mac Intelligence: Apple’s Future—Part 3 What’s to follow Airport Express?

816 Philip Machanick says:

Airport Express is cool.

No one but Apple could have thought of something like that -- a device which allows you to park your computer anywhere in your home, and use it to stream music to your home sound system.

The only minor problem is that a computer isn't the most convenient device to lug around the house -- even if you have a small PowerBook or iBook. I don't know about anyone else, but when I take my PowerBook home, I set it up in one place, and leave it there. (Unless I feel like sitting outside for a while -- but the big issue is that I don't actually carry it around with me.)
