Low Stress ‘Books

1244 In this week's The Road Warrior on MacOpinion, Charles Moore says:

"Personally, I can’t imagine depending on a computer for my livelihood, as I do, and owning just one. The last time I had only one Mac was in 1993, and even then I had a couple of other non-Mac computers as backups. Today, with pretty well all of my professional business communication conducted over the Internet, in addition to a large proportion of research being done online as well, and production also computer-based, I have two machines fully capable of front-line service set up as semi-permanent workstations. Both being portables, they can be unplugged and taken on road trips, but for workaday portable computing I agree with Mark that it’s a comfort and a stress-reliever to have an “expendable” computer that isn’t your main workstation available -- preferably something rugged."
