Design-wise, the Dome is an obvious tribute to the hemispherical CPU enclosure of the flat-panel iMac, and the Dome, in white especially, leaves no doubt as to its inspiration. However, from a functional perspective, the Dome shape makes more objective functional sense as a laptop stand than it does as a computer case.

what i am looking for in a laptop stand is - well - portability!
i already have the wonderful iCurve, but it is as bulky as all these fixed, metal supports.
makes trevalling very bulky!
