Will Simons, Creative Director and founding partner said, ‘Clickwheel.net is now in a position where we can freely innovate our products and services. 2000 AD has a wonderful selection of characters and storylines including, of course, Judge Dredd. So for the launch, it made sense to use Judge Dredd as our first foray.’
Tim Demeter, Editor-in-chief added, ‘We’re very excited about expanding the appeal of webcomics and to push the medium creatively. The Judge Dredd ’50 Year Man’ story, written by John Wagner, the creator of Dredd, is available as a webcomic and animatic and has been in development for a number of months designed specifically for use on the Apple iPod and iPhone. We’re very happy with the results.’

Will Simons concludes, ’With this latest Judge Dredd strip, in addition to our exclusive webcomics, we hope that mainstream Apple iPod and iPhone users will experiment with their handhelds and enjoy a new medium which is more exciting, funny and innovative than anything else in the mobile market. It’s a bold claim but we’re confident we can really push webcomics out there.’
