iNuron has released its McNucle v1.0 server software in public beta. The McNucle metadata server turns Macintosh desktops and servers into metadata based file servers. They allow it to share, metanize and powersearch your data at any time and from any location.
'To metanize' is the art of organizing your data with metadata. "In a time where almost anybody is faced with the issue of large data collections, the McNucle facilitates the organization of your data with metadata, which we call metanization," explains iNuron's Managing Director Jorre Belpaire. "Collecting and generating data is easy, but tracking the right picture or document back at the right time, is much harder. The only convenient way is to use metadata and the concept of iNuron's PowerSearch where the user receives assistance in searching and navigating through his tag cloud. We proof managing large data sets can be easy and fun too."
With iNuron's McNucle server on a Mac system, users can make any files available in the home network and on the internet 24/7. McNucle server owners can invite their social network to participate their personal McNucle community. The Nucle Browser is the metadata browser that allows to share, metanize and powersearch the data from anywhere, and provides support for both Macintosh and Windows users.
iNuron aims with the McNucle v1.0 Public Beta release to build a community of users. "We want to get closer to our users early in the release process," continues Jorre Belpaire, "so we can listen to their problems and needs when managing the data of their digital lives. This release is only the beginning..."
