iGet 2.0.4 Cross Platform File Transfer Tool - Shareware Beat

750 iGet is a next-generation file transfer tool for Mac OS X. It's what SFTP would be, if it had been designed exclusively for Mac OS X and the Mac platform's extremely high software expectations, without any cross-platform compromises.

iGet lets you move files between Macs without resorting to archaic or only partially compatible protocols (like FTP or SFTP). And unlike AppleShare, iGet is network-oriented and designed to be fast over real-world Internet connections, and not just 100Mbps or 1Gbps LANs.

Engineered specifically for the Mac, iGet can do things no other file transfer tool can. Its custom-designed network protocol efficiently supports remote Spotlight searching and true Mac icons. It understands packages, Finder labels, HFS metadata and resource forks, etc. Connections are always strongly encrypted. And yet, the interface is so intuitive that there is virtually no learning curve at all for most Mac users.

Best of all, because iGet's innovative design requires no additional software be pre-installed on the remote machine, all you need is iGet on your own Mac!

iGet Feature Highlights:

• No server required
• True Mac file support
• Remote Spotlight search
• Automator actions built-in
• Keychain support
• Bonjour network browsing
• Resumable transfers
• Encrypted with SSH
• Terrific user interface
• Drag-and-drop transfers
• Unicode file names

New in version 2.0.4:
• Fixed a recent bug causing the Finder to reject drags from iGet (dragged files would just "bounce back" to iGet's file window).
• Fixed some minor issues which could cause incorrect text alignment in certain situations.
• Eliminated yet more unnecessary log statements (hidden by their own little logging macro, aha!) which could annoyingly pollute the Console log without a good reason. (And, the responsible programmer was given a stern talking to, including finger-wagging and dessert-withholding).
• Fixed an problem which, if a million monkeys performed an infinite number of random iGet remote Spotlight searches for eternity, might eat up much more memory than necessary.
• Fixed an issue where the optional software update check might not react correctly until the second time it noticed a new version of iGet was available.

Mac OS X 10.4 or later. Can connect to Mac OS X 10.3 or later.
