We found in our teardown ( http://bit.ly/Mac_Mini_Mid_2011 ) that the new Mac Mini has a lovely empty spot for a secondary drive ( http://bit.ly/oJlipB ). Needless to say, in the days following the teardown we received hundreds of requests for some way to add a secondary drive to the new Mini without having to buy the $400-extra Server model.

It took a while to sort out the gremlins and align the stars, but it's finally here! Our new Mac Mini Dual Hard Drive Kit is the perfect solution to add a second hard drive to the new Mini. Folks will be able install an SSD for max performance (and still have an extra 500GB storage), or just max out the Mini to a whopping 2 Terabytes!

Of course, the kit would not be complete without some great iFixit installation instructions:

Each kit contains:
* Proprietary SATA hard drive cable
* Shock-absorbing mounting grommets
* Mounting screws
* Mac Mini Logic Board Removal Tool
* 26-Piece Bit Driver Kit
* Spudger
We managed to toss all the components above into one tidy little package and set the price to $69.95. The installation guide is free, as always.
