1511 You asked for it - here it is: the hockey widget to keep track of your favorite NHL team - daily schedules (game times are converted to your local time zone) with past and current results and upcoming schedules as well as current standings (both division and full conference). Hovering the pointer over a game that has concluded (or is currently in progress) shows the period by period breakdown of scores as well as game leaders (or last play and last goal for games in progress).

Widget Usage

Per default, the widget will display the NHL scoreboard of the current day, giving you a quick overview of what is happening on the ice. Games show the current (or final) score or game start time (times are adjusted for your local time zone). For completed games, winning teams' names are highlighted on the scoreboard to more easily identify them. For games in progress, team names for teams currently in power play are colored red.
- Select your favorite team on the back of the widget (click the little "i" on the bottom right to switch to the back) to have games and current place in standings highlighted. The widget will also show your favorite team's logo on the back as well as the center of the ice rink in front.
- Click "Done" to switch back to the front of the widget.
- Click on 'Standings' on the top right to select a division or conference to display. Mouse over any team's statistics to display additional numbers (not available for full conference standings - the popup will close after ten seconds or once you move over it - you can select to not show those popups on the back of the widget). Double-click any line in the standings table to open the team's home page in your browser.
- Switch back to the scoreboard by clicking on 'Scoreboard' on the top left.
- When displaying the scoreboard, use the arrows next to the date at the top to display past results or upcoming schedules - clicking either the date or the 'Scoreboard' text will reload the current scoreboard.
- Pointing the mouse over any ongoing or finished game in the scoreboard will display a little popup with the current (or final) game standings and last play/goal or game leaders. You can select to not show those popups on the back of the widget. The game shown in the popup will be highlighted in the scoreboard. The popup will automatically close after 20 seconds, when you move the mouse over it, or when you click anywhere on the background of the widget.
- Double-click any ongoing (finished) game to go to the gamecenter (game recap) website.
- The current day's scoreboard will automatically refresh once a minute, standings once every 30 minutes, or every time the Dashboard is activated.
