Glance Networks Debuts Remote Control for Macs

3104 Glance Networks, Inc., creator of the simplest desktop sharing tool on the market, has debuted a new lightweight Remote Control feature for Macs. Now Mac users can remotely share their mouse and keyboard with other Glance Web conference participants to quickly demonstrate software, co-edit documents, collaborate on designs, and provide remote training – in realtime over the Web.

"Last year at MacWorld, Glance brought screen sharing to the overlooked Mac audience, giving them access to the productivity advantages PC users had enjoyed for years," said Rich Baker, founder and CEO of Glance Networks. "We're proud to bridge that gap once again with this unique tool that lets any Mac host transition control to a guest with ease. The Remote Control feature is designed with the same simplicity we've become known for – and we remain dedicated to making Web conferencing as easy as clicking a button."

Glance is the industry's only fully cross-platform tool that allows for seamless transitions between multiple operating systems and transforms any session into a collaborative experience. With the new Remote Control feature, a Glance host can instantly share control with guests at any time – on a Mac or a PC. The host instantly regains control by just moving his or her mouse. To let a guest take back control, the host simply pauses.

"As an architect and graphic designer for over 40 years, I've found that Glance Networks' screen sharing tool makes client communication that much more effective," said Kelly Brandon, founder of Kelly Brandon Design. "I like to work closely with my clients while preparing progress drawings and Glance's Remote Control feature eliminates the need for meetings, saves time, is simple to use, and is carbon friendly. It's a win-win for everyone."

Unlike other Web demo tools, Glance is browser-based and requires no guest download, so it sets up quickly and reliably every time – no technical knowledge required. Thousands of customers worldwide think Glance's simple interface makes it an ideal sales tool for web demos and presentations. Its software-as-a-service model offers all of these new enhancements to subscribers for free. Glance is available at http://www.glance.net , where users can sign up for a free trial.
